My life goal is to become a veterinarian. I currently attend Miami Dade College as a Veterinary Technology major which is an Associate of Science degree. Associate of Science (AS) degrees are meant to be a finish line for most people, so they can start working in the field. I am using this degree to become more knowledgeable in my field before I become a veterinarian. I have been involved in the veterinary field since high school. I attended a high school with a veterinary assisting program and graduated with my certification in veterinary assisting with the highest score in my graduate class. I also work at a veterinary clinic as a kennel technician/veterinary assistant to get more experience. Soon I will be a certified veterinary technician, even if it makes my journey to becoming of veterinarian longer. I am currently taking extra classes, so I won’t fall very behind when I transfer to get my Bachelor's in Animal Science. I am a very dedicated and passionate student who will become the best veterinary one can become.
