Bio

I graduated high school in 3 years so that I could go to community college, get an associate in TV film, and afterwards, move to LA and became an actress. That didn’t go as planned, when I started community college I noticed that the industry that I was in, was literally, gross the fact that an actor or director would want you to do certain things to help you out with your carrier is disgusting to me. I honestly thought these things only happened in movies but no. Well let me tell you, even though I didn’t want to be in that industry anymore I decided to keep going and get my associates degree why not? I was already half way trough. Well I kept going expecting to graduate may of 2020 but the universe didn’t have that planned for me so January 15 of 2020 my house caught on fire and because I wasn’t living in the right circumstances and classes were online because of COVID I had to drop all my classes except for one. So, I didn’t graduate in 2020. Then life started picking up, I was taking less classes because they were online and I have worked full time since I started college so, with my overnight job it got harder to take online classes. Then, when I was about to graduate in 2021, not one but two of my grandparents pass away back to back and then I had to drop some classes then. Now 2022 I had my walk and I am two classes away from getting my diploma. Afterwards I will transfer to become a medical assistant and take it from there.

WCEJ Thornton Foundation Music & Art Scholarship
I consider myself a photographer(even though I studied film) but that’s not the point, because photography to me is an art and one that can and will make a difference in someone’s life. (I hope this does make it as part of the requirements for this scholarship, since it’s not actual art). As a photographer, I plan to make a positive impact in the world by making people love themselves. For example, all my life I have struggled with self love my self-esteem has always been on the low end and I honestly, don’t think that anyone deserves to like that way, which is why I choose to do raw work on people. My work will change the world by having my clients look at their photographs and say “how perfectly imperfect am I” nowadays the standards to what someone has to “look” like or “dress” like are honestly, disgusting. With my work I hope to make a difference. I believe that if we learn to love ourselves the way we are, there would be so much more peace in the world, because to me, I think that people hurt others or do certain things because they don’t love themselves and they aren’t happy with their own body and soul. As a photographer, I will do my best to show my clients and the world that they don’t have to fit the Instagram standards to be beautiful or to be sexy, because each one of us is different and beautiful in our own ways. My goal is that every person that I photograph leaves loving themselves a little more than how they came in because by one loving their body and soul the world could evolve in unimaginable ways.
