As a current high school student the one of the most important platforms I have used for research projects and other things is Google. During my English class, for a project I created a brochure on the effects of social media and I used google and websites to find accurate information on the subject. I also used it to find biographies and autobiographies about people and their experiences with social media and what some went through by being exposed to it at an early age. Google is a very useful tool for educational related projects in my experience and many other things. I enjoy learning new languages but my school doesn't offer any other language courses options except Spanish. As a result of this, I started using Duolingo to learn Portuguese. Duolingo is an extremely beneficial tool. Learning a new language is being able to communicate with others and ideas in your community, or in the world. In my opinion I see that as an amazing, valuable, and fruitful thing to do with time. If there is time, use it wisely in something that could benefit you and help you see the world. It teaches you to speak the language of your choice, write, and even read it. Last year when I was having trouble with some of the math content I was learning I used ChatGPT to learn some of the material and a different way to do it than the teacher. ChapGPT is a very handy tool when used wisely because it is AI. Many use it to just copy the work and get the answer without even trying to do it themselves. If used negatively, it can be used to cause harm to someone's image, etc. To me it was a very indispensable variable that helped me get through the math lesson and score good on the exams. As a senior in high school I am now applying to scholarships and trying to get information about as many as I possibly can to get money for college. One of my biggest dreams and goals is to go to college and I am utilizing Bold.org to find and apply for scholarships.Today, the amount of platforms and tools that can be used for various things are increasing. TikTok is a platform that has helped me with my future goal. I am currently in the Medical Prep program at Marshall Technical school and TikTok has been a good source for me to find information on body systems, practice quizzes and also find information about scholarships.Many platforms and tools have greatly positively impacted my education.
