I consider myself to be a strong and resilient individual, and being a non-traditional student with the responsibility of being a single mom adds a layer of challenge that many people may not fully understand. Taking a break from school to have a baby and then returning to pursue my education is a testament to my determination and commitment to ensure a better future for my daughter and I. Balancing a full time school schedule while raising my child will be incredibly demanding but my motivation to provide a better life for my daughter is undoubtedly a driving force that fuels my efforts. I currently rely on public assistance for basic necessities such as food and rental assistance to make ends meet. Although, I may be going through a challenging time in life now I know things will become better. I was recently accepted into New York University's Accelerated nursing program. Becoming a nurse has been a lifelong dream that I intend to make come true. As I pursue my educational journey my perseverance and determination are key factors in achieving my goals. Education is a powerful tool that can lead to the opening of new doors and financial independence.The love and dedication that I have for my daughter motivates me everyday. My daughter serves as my source of strength to keep pushing forward.
