Bio

My name is Ariana Abimbola and as a first-generation immigrant daughter to a Nigerian father, I want to prove that his coming to the United States to give his children a better life was worth it. I am mainly interested in working in tech as a software engineer or anything that keeps me involved in the tech industry. I have participated in multiple coding and computer science-focused programs at the University of Chicago where college students taught us how to problem solve and use the skills in combination with coding programs such as Python. I'm very passionate about providing aid to those who need it and wish to be of use in any way I can. My goal is to build my skills in coding so that I have the talent to be able to work across a plethora of fields. There is a severe shortage of women in STEM especially for software engineers and I aim to be part of the next generation of female software engineers as well as encouraging other young women to do the same.
