Since elementary school, I have always been fascinated by and loved computers. I have always wanted to know how they operate and work whether it was how a click on the mousepad works or how it can store files etc. Slowly I began learning little shortcuts on computers to make tasks quicker such as Control+C to copy and Control+V to paste. Or using task manager to quit an app that's bogging down my computer. Once I got to high school I dwelled on what I wanted to pursue in my career and what I'd be good at and enjoy. Many Entrepreneurs have inspired me such as Elon Musk or Warren Buffett, mainly for their ability to become successful by simply putting their minds to what they were good at. And I have seen what I am capable of when I really put my mind to it, whether it was playing sports, or doing a math test. This inspiration has led my mind to focus on my skills and how I can use them to my advantage like I have with my ADHD. Medication was not the way to go so I tried different techniques to My main goal is to graduate with a Bachelor of Computer Science and acquire my dream job of working in a tech company. The two companies I am hoping for are either Amazon or Microsoft, both would be amazing since they are great companies. But a lifelong dream that I've had is to be successful and happy. I have a couple of dream cars I would like to own one day, same as a house, but I know that those can only be acquired with hard work, persistence, and not giving up. I feel i am the best candidate for receiving this scholarship because it will help me with my life goals, schooling, and pursuing my career. Money is a bit of an issue as well due to college having fees for classes, and I am only working part time at my job. But it has not demotivated me one bit from earning my degree. Another reason is because, I have learned to manage my ADHD and use it to my full advantage such as learning what environments I study and focus in the best, or what type of music helps. I have found that white noise really helps me concentrate and get my work done fast and efficiently. But overall I am very happy of my accomplishments in life so far and I am excited to conquer my short and long term goals and become successful in life!
