One of my main goes is to have a successful career. When I get older, I want to be a successful married mom. I never want my family to struggle. I want everyone around me to be taken care of.

If you could meet my mom, you would say she's the strongest woman you have ever met in your whole life. I was raised by my mom and brother. Throughout my life, I've seen her overcome obstacles and come out on the other side of it. She has never once failed to provide for our family no matter how exhausted she was. In the past, she has had two or three jobs at a time. She wanted us to have a good life. I could tell she was tired but that didn't stop her. She means the absolute world to me. I want to become a nurse to not only help people but I want to make sure my family is financially set for life. Especially my mom, when I wanted something she always got it for me, even when she hadn't gone shopping for herself in years. She always put me and my brother first. It's time for us to put her first.
I've wanted to be a nurse since elementary school. More specifically, I've always wanted to be a pediatric nurse. I don't love the thought of sick kids. But I do love the thought of taking care of them and comforting families when their little ones are sick. I also love the thought of helping people especially when they can't help themselves. I feel like when I become a nurse, I could change people's lives and positively leave an impact on them.
I want to be able to pay for my college classes. I don't want my mom to worry about having to pay thousands of dollars. That's part of the reason why I decided to go to my community college. The other part is that I wanted to be near my mom to take care of her and make sure she was okay. She getting a little older now so time is precious. When I get my BSN, the first thing I am going to do is buy my mom a house and everything she has always wanted.
Getting this scholarship would mean the world to me. It would mean helping with the costs of my dream BSN program that I would love to transfer to. I can't wait to start this new chapter in my life. I also can't wait until I can provide for my mom just like how she has provided for us since we were born.
