Art has always been a passion of mine, I've always been drawing ever since I was little, I would always be doodling and drawing something new. Over the years I have taken art classes in school to improve my skills as an artist, I even self-taught myself new skills with different mediums that caught my interest. I have always been inspired by animated movies and cartoons like Disney, Dream Works, anime, and many others too, not only because of the characters and the stories but also the craft behind it and the hard work and passion the artists and animators put into these shows, movies and characters. My goal is to become a professional artist but my biggest goal is to be able to make an animated movie of my own, with its own unique story and characters that people will love.

Ever since I was little, I loved drawing and doodling my favorite cartoon characters, SpongeBob, Ed, Edd'n Eddy, Ben 10, and many more. Growing up I started coming up with my own drawings and ideas, and it wasn't until middle school that I learned that I really love art and that I could make a career from it. Since then, I've been taking every art class I could take, learning how to draw on YouTube, trying different mediums, and coming up with my own style and ideas. I started creating all sorts of creatures and characters and developed a knack for dragons. Over the years I started working on a homemade trading card game and recently launched it. It has been a task, but I am starting to see the fruits of my labor. I hope this project grows into something big. I have also been developing a story of my own, with all sorts of characters and creatures, and a new world with its own story.
I want to find an opportunity to be able to work in an animation studio with other artists and animators. Watching these amazing worlds and characters come to life on the big screen inspired me to create my own stories as well. Disney and Dream Works have been some of the most inspiring studios that filled my childhood with imagination and wonder. It would be an amazing opportunity to get a foot in the door with either of them, even if it's an internship.
The closest I have come to was becoming an art teacher at an elementary school. It wasn't an animation job but sparked something within me that I didn't know was there, being able to inspire young aspiring artists and encouraging them to build their talents and help them learn new techniques and seeing the art they can create on their own. It was such an awesome experience. Unfortunately, it was short lived, the school was closed down and I was let go due to no openings. It was hard, but If I had the opportunity to do it again, I would take it.
During that time and after the closure, I've been learning how to create digital art through photoshop and toon boom to develop my design and animation skills. It has been quite a challenge to learn and get used to since most of my pieces have been traditional, but I keep pushing to learn and improve my skills as an artist so that one day I can have a studio of my own to create my very own animated movie that can make it to the big screens, and hopefully bring imagination and inspiration to others who want to do the same.

Learning about the arts has been a journey so far, learning about the different techniques and styles of art, learning about the many historical artists and how they shaped the art world, and the time and effort, as well creativity and imagination that have been put into animation. Learning about these things have help me improve as an artist and have helped me work harder towards my goals in life and towards my career. Though I didn't pay attention to a lot of that when I was growing up. At a young age I just loved to draw because I could create my own characters in their own worlds and stories with my imagination. As I grew up I became more interested in the arts and wanted to try different forms of media like paint, pastels, markers, charcoal pencils, and more. During my middle school years I was trying to figure out my own art style, how to make my art stand out. That's when I came across a game called "Yu-Gi-Oh!", it was a trading card game where you can collect powerful monster cards and play against other players and fight with those monster cards to win the game. Not only was the game exciting, but it had such a unique art style that drew my attention, and I loved it, the way the monsters were designed were so unique and eye catching, especially when it came to dragon cards of the game. Kazuki Takahashi was the creator and artist of the game, and was very well known for his unique art style, He even had a animated series based off the game, and it's because of him that I wanted to do something with my art and become a professional artist. He became my biggest inspiration to pursue an art career, and through Kazuki Takahashi I came across many other artists as well. I started learn more about art, reading different how to draw books, taking art classes during middle school and all the way through high school. It wasn't easy though, at first I thought some of these techniques were hard and I didn't want to apply them to my original works at first, but I knew in the back of mind that if did apply these techniques to my art, it would stand out so much more. Once I tried it out I could not believe the difference in quality that my art was starting to have, and it became more enjoyable. After some years passed I have established my own art style, thanks to the help from my family and friends, and those who inspired me. Kazuki Takahashi has unfortunately passed away now, but his legacy still lives on and he continues to be an inspiration for me. As I continue this journey as an artist I hope that when share my art with others, that they feel that same feeling as I did, when they see that one artwork that captures their attention and inspiring them to become an artist.
