One of my biggest life goals is to receive a job as a Sports Commentator, specifically for the national football and baseball leagues. It is also why I want to major in Communications. I am passionate about communicating and making connections with others who could be potential coworkers or competitors in a demanding field.
Another career goal of mine is Cyber Security. Relocating to New York to protect our country makes my goals even more impactful. That is why I prioritized Universities that focused on Communication and Security, which is why I was accepted into Clayton State University.
I graduated from Georgia Cyber Academy with a 3.75 GPA! Receiving majority of my praise and acclaim from my teachers, as I was awarded the Aspire Award, Cum Laude Honors, CTAE Completion Award, National Honors Society, National Beta Club, National Technical Honor Society, and Attendance Award in general throughout my time in GCA. My teachers were very much aware of my disabilities (ADHD and Autism). They saw me! I hope donors on Bold.org see me too.
I also firmly believe that one should have a generous work ethic. I have devoted a significant amount of time to community service, including beautification of several neighborhoods. I live with Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, but I never let it get in the way of setting high standards and completing tasks (even if it takes longer than others). Also, loving life and having fun within reason is included, which is why I would be a great candidate for any scholarship. I would genuinely appreciate the help! Thank you.

WinnerMy entire life, I have had some form of difficulties because of who I am. Being bullied, taken advantage of by supposed friends, getting in trouble with adults (a lot), all because of the triggers of living with ADHD and Autism. My true family, which is my adopted family, has supported me more than peanuts in peanut butter. One major area of support is Education. There’s one thing about me you should know: “I don't look like what I am going through,” a young man living on the Spectrum and struggling with ADHD. Because of the way I acted and spoke, some thought I wouldn't succeed to a certain degree, unlike my siblings, who have excelled. But I did, I did it! Education is my personal achievement that has had a profound impact on my life.
I am most proud of my Georgia Cyber Academy graduation honors: CTAE Pathway Completer Cord, National Beta Club Cord, National Honor Society Cord, National Technical Honor Society Cord, and Cum Laude Honor Cord. I didn’t have to worry about being bullied in GCA and other students laughing at me because my answers, in some cases, seemed different. I was able to work at my own pace, which made it easier for me to shine like my siblings. GCA is not easy. Teachers want you to succeed, but you have to work for it, as if preparing you for the life of college. I stayed up many hours past my bedtime, not wanting to give up, not knowing if I would make the grade, literally. In my world, it helps that my teachers have a sense of humor that matches mine. Take Romeo and Juliet, please! Why? Algebra (math period), AP anything, Spanish II (what, why still trying to understand Romeo and Juliet). These classes made my teachers see me. They laughed with me during my struggles but expected a lot from me because they knew I would “go the distance.” Go the distance is an idiom used in the iconic film Hercules. See how I did that. Yeah, my academic accomplishments are my proudest moments.
Aspire-to direct one's hopes or ambitions towards achieving something. My family and teachers saw something in a struggling 3.7 GPA ADHD and Autism Spectrum student. So much so that I was awarded the Aspire Cord. How has Education impacted my life? I am going to college! Clayton State University! I am going to major in Sports Communication because I know I am good enough! When I finally get my degree, I know I will be discriminated against because some will believe that my Disorders will not be an asset to them, but I will prove them wrong! Am I scared? Yes, but I am proud of my Personal Achievement!

First, I would like to thank two important people who have been a powerful force in my life, the CEOs of Microsoft Word and Grammarly. I can truly express how I plan to make my community, or the world, a better place, whether I am currently doing so or after I graduate from college. Not to be emotional, but I would like to acknowledge myself, my family, prayer, and Georgia Cyber Academy for helping me pursue my passions, hobbies, and everything in between, which enables me to be community service driven.
Currently, I have three sponsors outside of school who help with my community work. Krystal Williams Foundation, Neighborhood Watch Advisor, Mrs. King, and Clayton County Refuse Department Captain Gooden. My brother and I beautify several neighborhoods by cutting grass, picking up trash, and returning shopping carts to their owners. All done in Georgia's sizzling summer heat. Most of all, recipients would have to pay a company to cut their grass if we were not available. The most challenging part is seeing school children walking through trash on their way to school. I wish I could be one of those students that split atoms for nuclear bomb, but it is an immense feeling of gratitude when drivers stop to honk to say thank you or the elderly man brings us food because he so grateful (tell him not too but it seems to hurt him if we don’t except.) I must say the funniest part of being a volunteer is giving little humans Christmas gifts. They don’t care what your passions or hobbies are; they just want their gifts!
In the passion of everything in between, I would like to volunteer for the National March of Dimes. My older sister was born 1 lb. 6oz and always lived with ADHD, lived on the Autism Spectrum Disorder, and suffered from Anxiety. She was a 2003 March of Dimes Ambassador. I would love to become a diplomat for babies born into the world like this. Maybe even starting a club in college that would have an international impact on students after college. I would love to work with families and educate them on what their baby might experience in life and how to help them deal with these issues. Mapping out a plan is what parents need to adjust when uncertainties arise. They need to know that there are people who will help them, and that life can be FUN!
