I lost a lot of my high school years to my chronic illness, but through these last few difficult years, I began to discover who I was and who I wanted to be. Last March I earned my GED with top marks, thoroughly taking charge of my life. Today, I am a freshman at Flagler College and I am so proud of how far I have gotten. My dreams are now guiding my life, and I will do anything I can to achieve them. Curiosity fuels me and I am always looking for answers to the burning questions in my mind. Space has always been a passion of mine and I am aiming to earn a STEM degree that will empower me to pursue a career in the field of space science. I have a fascination with difficult questions such as "why are we here?" and "what is the purpose of existence?" that I would like to analyze through the lenses of philosophy and religion. The cosmos is a landmine of unknowns and I want to be on the team to discover these captivating answers. As I work to earn my Bachelor's degree, my main goal is to expand my worldview and become well-rounded in all areas of life, from creativity to academics, and everything in between.
