I’m a high school senior who’s learned how to keep going even when things aren’t easy. I’ve had to deal with health challenges and learning differences, which made school harder at times, but they also taught me how to advocate for myself and not give up. Because of my experiences with healthcare, I want to become a nurse and be someone who actually listens and cares about patients. I come from a low-income background, so paying for college is going to be really hard for me. That’s why I’m working to take advantage of every opportunity I can and build a better future for myself. I started a crochet club at my school to help people manage stress and have a space to relax, and I’ve also done some volunteering to support others. I’m proud of how far I’ve come and I’m determined to keep going.
