I am a United States Marine Corps Veteran and single mother of two amazing children, doing it all on her own. My goal here is to get my degree and become a dental hygienist which would provide a better life for my two children. Something I'm passionate about is volunteering to help fellow military veterans with any struggles they could be facing. Fun fact about me, in 2021 I Played for The Minnesota Vixen Women's Professional Football team.

A little bit about me, I was born and raised in Lakeville Minnesota. I played sports like softball and dance all throughout my childhood which helped shape who I am today. In my senior year of high school I was able to apply for Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) which is an opportunity for Minnesota resident high school students to earn dual credit for both high school and college. I attended Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) for automotive auto body.
I graduated high school in 2011 and 3 days later shipped out to the United States Marine Corps boot camp in Parris Island South Carolina where I became a helicopter mechanic for the Marine Corps for 4 years. Also, during my time in the Marine Corps, I was able to do a E-5 ranked billet when I was only an E-3. So to me, this was a great honor. A billet is a special duty assignment beyond a Marines primary military occupational specialty (MOS). It provides an advanced opportunity for a Marines career progression and on-the-job experience. This Billet was Central Technical Publications Librarian (CTPL). While being CTPL, I was awarded a Noteworthy award which is the highest award you can receive during a Marine Corps Unit audit.
While in the Marine Corps, I did unfortunately get injured and am now a disabled veteran. Even though I am now a disabled veteran, I still have the same work hard ethics that the Marine Corps instilled in me, and I never give up. During my time in the Marine Corps I had two beautiful children; they push me to be the best version of myself each and everyday.
After I got out of the Marines, I took up hobbies of taxidermy and also recreational softball, and I still enjoy both hobbies to this day. Another hobby of mine, volunteering for the Northern Warriors Foundation which has a goal of helping any military veteran with anything that they could need help with from A to Z.
In 2021 I tried out for the Minnesota Vixen Women's Professional Football team and made it. Being a part of the Minnesota Vixens Women's Professional Football team was a great accomplishment in my eyes. I played professional football for 2 years and created friendships that will last a lifetime.
Just before that time I started working in the dentistry field as a front desk receptionist and have been doing that job ever since. Because of my love and fascination with dentistry, now my goal is to get my bachelor's degree and become a licensed dental hygienist (LDH).
I have been able to complete all of my accomplishments while also being a single mother to my two amazing children. I have full custody and no child support, but I believe I am a strong, independent woman, and I have the ability to take care of my family as the sole provider. That is why getting my degree as an LDH is so important to me, because as a sole provider of two kids, it's pertinent that I have a great career to provide for my family.
