Hi! I am from Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I studied Art History in college, as well as Ceramics! I started pottery because I'd always wanted to try it--I just kept going because I wanted to get better. I've always been a bit self-conscious of my work, but I've recently started selling my pieces. I'm excited about this next step and hope to continue learning and growing this skill. Other interests include student radio, hiking, and learning guitar.
I was just accepted to Trinity College Dublin for an M.Phil. in Irish Art History which is my dream school and program. I am working a part-time job in the food service industry and applying to scholarships to help make that a reality! I am also working as a Curatorial Intern at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts in Alabama, which is a great career experience for me.

Bold Creativity Scholarship
Growing up, I felt really self-conscious about any creativity I expressed. I had the idea that I couldn’t just enjoy my own mediocre drawings. I thought that unless they were really special they didn’t quite count as real art, and my doodles were far from that even though my friends expressed joy over them. When I got to college, I started ceramics and eventually made it a major. It was the first time I felt like I had the skill to match what I wanted to create in my head. Getting to a point where I was proud of my work actually helped me remember that I never should have not been satisfied with my creativity. We make art for various reasons and one of them is to make us happy, and that is perfectly sufficient. Since realizing this, I have started learning guitar and I play without perfection. I created my own radio show. You can apply creativity to anything–such as redecorating your room, and even the choices you make! If you make active choices to craft the life you want to lead, everyday is the chance to create something new for yourself.
