Throughout high school, I challenged myself both inside the classroom and in my community. Taking chemistry and AP biology concurrently improved my time management skills and allowed me to dive into the world on a microscopic level. I later tackled AP chemistry, which was more of a lesson in perseverance than anything else. In order to refine my compositional skills, I have completed both AP language and AP literature. To pursue my interest in the visual arts, I enrolled in advanced media arts and am currently a photography editor for the yearbook. Taking a leadership role in our student publication and founding our school’s news team has given me the opportunity to embrace responsibility and team management. Outside of the classroom, community service has been a cornerstone of my high school journey. I have deeply enjoyed my time as a member of both the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts programs, as well as my time as a member of the National Charity League. Public service has deepened my appreciation for the opportunities that I have. Understanding those privileges has then encouraged me to be more empathetic in my interactions with peers and the community. By pursuing academically rigorous coursework and taking on leadership roles inside and outside of school, I have gained confidence and developed a greater sense of self.
