Hello! I am Anistacia, a 19 year old first generation college freshmen from Texas, pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering at UTA, with plans to earn a teaching certification in order to teach engineering at the high school level. I have been lucky enough to participate in countless courses allowing me to teach through different aged classrooms, including preschool, first grade, and third through fifth grade. In addition, I have held an after-school job at a local Title 1 middle school, teaching students in different areas, focusing on robotics. I have been heavily involved in STEM since 4th grade. I have been able to participate in VEXIQ, BEST, and FRC. I have held many leadership positions, including two years of experience in being my teams Chief Strategist, allowing me to speak with hundreds of teams from all over the world. I have also been awarded with the Dean's List Semi-Finalist award, showcasing my dedication to spreading STEM education. As I've put hundreds of hours into my robotics career, I'm very excited to continue onto becoming a STEM educator who is able to make a difference. I have always wanted to be a teacher, as I want to help shape and support the students of today, and am very thankful for the support that scholarships are able to provide.
