Hi! I’m Anisha, and I’m a freshman at UNC Chapel Hill double majoring in neuroscience and computer science. I am interested in artificial intelligence, brain-computer interfaces, and neural engineering, although I am still exploring different fields of tech. When I’m not studying, you'll probably find me exploring new places, dancing, or crocheting.
Outside of technology and my own pursuits, I am involved in a lot of clubs around campus, such as Helping Hands, Women in Computer Science, and Carolina Adapts Toys for Children. Through these activities I have been able to learn more about technology and join a community of tech enthusiasts.
For the past few years, as I got more interested in tech, I noticed how women were in the minority, and I was often one of 2 or 3 girls in tech related classes. The girls' bathroom in the computer science building is always so clean (which I appreciated, but it was clean for the wrong reasons). I hope to change that, and encourage more women to pursue tech, as it advances further and it becomes ever important to society.
