My name is Angel Moreno, and my passion for cars has been a significant part of my life for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was a little kid, I have been fascinated by the world of automobiles. From watching The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, to playing racing games like Forza Horizon and Need for Speed on my Xbox 360, I was always drawn to the speed, the design, and the mechanics behind cars. Whether it was racing, customizing, restoring, or fixing, I wanted to know everything about how cars worked. If it involved cars, I was in. This obsession eventually became more than just a hobby; it helped me figure out my path for the future.
Growing up, I would spend hours in front of the TV, glued to car-related content, often imagining myself behind the wheel or working in a garage, transforming a car into something extraordinary. As I got older, I became more hands-on, experimenting with my own vehicles and learning everything I could about them. Whether it was small repairs, routine maintenance, or tackling larger projects, I was eager to dive into every aspect of automotive work. My love for cars wasn’t limited to just the way they look or perform; I was equally fascinated by the inner workings of the machines, the science behind the engine, and the technology that made each car unique.
This passion led me to pursue a career in the automotive industry, and I decided that the best way to turn my interest into a profession was by enrolling at Universal Technical Institute (UTI). I am currently a student at UTI, where I am learning the ins and outs of automotive technology. I expect to graduate in May 2026, and each day I spend at UTI brings me one step closer to my dream of working as an automotive technician. At UTI, I have the chance to learn from experts, gain hands-on experience, and understand the latest automotive technologies, all of which will help me become a highly skilled professional in the field.
My immediate goal is to work as an automotive technician, where I can continue to grow my experience and knowledge in the industry. I’m excited about the challenges each car brings, whether it's diagnosing a problem or performing complex repairs. I know there’s always something new to learn in this field, and I look forward to constantly expanding my skillset.
However, my long-term aspirations don’t stop at becoming a technician. One of my biggest dreams is to own my own auto shop one day. I envision running a business that not only focuses on repairs but also offers customization and restoration services. The idea of having my own shop, working with a team, and bringing my personal touch to the cars I work on is something that motivates me every day. With my experience and passion, I know I can build a successful business and eventually expand my services. The possibilities for growth and innovation in the automotive world are endless, and I am determined to make the most of them.
For now, school must come first, and I am dedicated to fully immersing myself in the automotive world. But with every class I take and every skill I learn, I am getting closer to making my dreams a reality. Whether it's restoring classic cars or customizing a dream build, I am eager to turn these aspirations into tangible achievements. I am committed to my education and excited for what lies ahead in my journey through the automotive industry.
