My life goals consist of going to college and majoring in oncology and cancer biology. My calling is to be an oncologist research scientist and eventually find a cure for cancer. My grandpa's battle with cancer ended on October 21st, 2020 and that was definitely the turning point in my life because the was the moment I knew I had to do something. I am hoping to dedicate my life to help others in the way my family and others like mine couldn't be helped. My goal is to find a universal cure and end the suffering for good. After I can support myself, my sister and I plan on traveling the world together and eventually settling down near each other. I'm extremely close to my sister because we didn't have what you would call an "ideal childhood." In these upcoming years of my life, I hope to be able to maintain balance. Between academics, athletics, volunteering, work, family, and friends, I'm just hoping that I will be able to sort out my priorities and manage my time and opportunities. I would describe myself as a reserved person whose ears are bigger than her mouth. I don't trust people easily but if you are one of the few people I can open up to, consider it an honor because I am a clamshell. Some hobbies of mine are reading, hunting and fishing, archery, botany and gardening, boating and tubing, hiking and camping, playing with animals, and being outside. I don't think I fit the criteria of "well-rounded student" as much as other people do, but I am definitely shaped and molded by my experiences into something you would call a slightly disfigured sphere.
