I try to embody Avani’s values of kindness and compassion each day. I first met her in first grade, I remember her being the sweetest and most positive girl. Her and I immediately became good friends. We finally reconnected in fifth grade and became inseparable. We were in the same class, sat next to each other in band, and did safety patrol together. She was always my partner for school and recess buddy. There was never a moment I spent with her where I wasn’t smiling and laughing. Loosing her was really hard and I miss her every single day. I can confidently say that I know her and I would have still been best friends to this day. Since I was little I have always enjoyed making friends and connecting with others. To this day my favorite thing is making people around me happy. I have danced and cheered since I was young. Participating in dance and cheerleading has helped me bring joy to others and always be positive. As a class officer I put my class first in planning and organizing activities to benefit the class of twenty twenty-four. I enjoyed volunteering to help the community out. I first started volunteering when I was in fourth grade doing safety patrol with Avani. I recently have spent time fundraising for my eight year old cousin, Snow, who has spinal cancer. Next year I am attending West Chester University for marketing. After college I plan to go into pharmaceutical sales and work in a children’s hospital. In eighth grade I was inspired to start working in the medical field after I was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury and chronic migraines. During this time I spent a lot of time in AI DuPont and decided I wanted to work within medicine. I go to DuPont every twelve weeks for Botox and have been informed by my nurse practitioner about various paths in medicine. I want this career to continue to help others around me. I hope this career path will help me to make a difference. On a final note,I will always do my best to embody Avani’s values. I will continue to show kindness and compassion during my future career. I plan to still volunteer throughout college and after as well. I want to do whatever I can to make a difference. Avani will forever hold such a special place in my heart.
