I'm Angelic McPherson, a first-year Masters student with a strong passion for computer science (CS). I specialize in machine learning, data science and artificial intelligence. My primary motivation is how to integrate data-driven, efficient, and non-bias AI systems into our society and the impacts of this integration on us. In a world where AI usage is growing and often unregulated, my question is if these AI algorithms are helping us or hurting us, and what we can do to fix it. Beyond CS, I have a deep appreciation for teaching, poetry and learning new languages. These hobbies aren't just interests; they're challenges that push me out of my comfort zone and expand my horizons. As a TA for computer science courses, helping others explore the world of CS is a very rewarding job for me. I love being able to empower and provide guidance for those on their CS journey. Poetry has taught me how to embrace the creative side of myself, and learning languages has taught me the importance of learning through error. Poetry, CS, and language learning continues to help me explore, grow, and become a better version of myself every day.
