Bio

I'm really interested in math. I plan on attending college to major in mathematics and become a math teacher because I've been helping people understand math since I was young, and I've always enjoyed helping others. If I can get even more knowledge in math and pursue a career that will allow me to teach a whole group of people, then that would be amazing for myself and future students.

      Minecraft Forever Fan Scholarship
Building a house in creative mode and filling it up with dogs resonates with me so deeply. It was the first thing I did when I first played minecraft. I would build a house using emerald blocks and then I would make the dog color green because it is my favorite color. Although it was just a 16 by 18 emerald block house with just a flat roof, it was something that I was really proud of building. As I got older, my house designs would improve greatly and although I would eventually stop building houses only using emerald blocks, I still made sure my house had a lot of green in it. The bed would be green, the carpet would be green and even the walls would be green. I would also make sure that the first wolf I tame would have a light green collar and the name "Wolfy" as it was the name I gave to a wolf hat I owned when I was five years old. There are multiple houses I have built over the years and although the design has changed from time to time to become even more detailed and complexed, I still follow these patterns as they are very important to me.
      I Can Do Anything Scholarship
To work as a math teacher while also creating art in my spare time.
      Learner Geometry Scholarship
When I was four years old my parents made me learn multiplication from a times table. I really did not enjoy learning multiplication but eventually, I ended up knowing how to multiply and I had the times table memorized. Because I was so young, I felt like I had spent weeks learning for nothing as I couldn't put it to use yet. But when I reached 1st grade I realized how ahead I was compared to every student in my grade. I decided I should have my older brother teach me topics he was learning in class so I could be even more ahead and eventually, I studied on my own so I could be ahead of everyone I knew. With the knowledge I had, I was able to help so many people around me understand math topics they were struggling with. It felt nice to be able to help so many people understand a subject I had put so much time into studying. Everything became so easy for me and others because of the interest in math I had developed over time and it was something I really wanted to continue. Of course, I hadn't studied everything so when I reached pre-calculus I found something that I had no knowledge of and it made me realize how much more I have to learn. Realizing how much more there was to math made me excited and it was enough to convince me into applying for mathematics instead of visual art as my college major. I am currently taking AP Calculus and each topic I learned from the class was very interesting to me. I hope that as I go into college, I’m able to explore more ideas that interest me and that I can teach future students these topics once I get my degree in mathematics and get a job as a math teacher.
