I am a serious student pursuing the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in high school, and I hope to continue my education through a liberal arts undergraduate degree and potentially law school. Outside the classroom, I enjoy swimming, baseball, and reading. I’m also not too old or too cool to still enjoy building with Legos. I am a loyal friend and brother, and one of my favorite ways to spend an afternoon is playing in a neighborhood-wide kids vs. adults wiffle ball game on my street. Our teams range in age from 3 to about 70, and we are always looking for new players. I am active in FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), where I have developed leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills through competition and collaboration. This year, I earned the opportunity to represent my school at the FBLA National Leadership Conference. I’m pursuing college because I want to contribute to my diverse community and learn from a broad range of perspectives. I am especially interested in how government and public policy affect local communities. This summer, I will intern with my county government, and I am proud to represent my high school and American Legion Post 184 at Virginia Boys State. I am considering law because I welcome a challenge and believe legal training would allow me to help others. Thank you for considering my application and for helping students like me reach our goals.
