I'm a serious student and intend to pursue an International Baccalaureate diploma in high school and then a liberal arts undergraduate degree, and perhaps law school. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy swimming, baseball, and reading. I'm not too old or too cool to still enjoy building with Legos. I am a loyal friend and brother, and my idea of a fun afternoon would include playing a neighborhood-wide kids vs. adults wiffle ball game on my street - our teams range in age from 3 to about 70 - and we are always looking for new players. I'm pursuing college because I'm committed to being a contributing member of my diverse community and I'm looking forward to learning from a broad selection of viewpoints. I'm considering law because I welcome a challenge, and acquiring legal skills will put me in a position to use my talents to help others. I am the second of three brothers, and all three of us are likely to be attending college at the same time. My parents are committed to supporting our academic pursuits in spite of the daunting tuition load. Thank you for considering me for your scholarship opportunity, it will make a real difference.
