As a multi-sport student athlete, I was even able to learn and pick up additional skills, knowledge, and experience outside of the court, and, unfortunately, I was not able to play basketball my senior year because of family issues. However, my experience has been rewarding because I can speak in front of a large group of people, I can be detail oriented, I can be a leader, I can be flexible and adaptable to change, I am a collaborator, and I am able to work great and share my ideas with others. In addition to everything I just mentioned, I also used to work for In-N-Out Burger, as it is a fast food restaurant, and that is where I improved my communication skills and finished my school work so that I could have a stronger future and a decent paying job. I can honestly say that I have a sense of achievement for the success that I have earned from my school and work. I have also strengthened my responsibility and communication skills. I also gained a lot of knowledge during my time being with the leaders of my team. Although I was not playing for the team, I got a lot of useful experience from being able to watch and learn from my teammates, as they provided a lot of support each and every time they were able to play. It was also a wonderful opportunity to be able to focus my time on college and my studies, as I learned a lot of responsibility, and I gained a lot of knowledge and experience with my leaders. I learned how to be focused and determined to achieve my goals, especially during hard times. I learned how to not be affected by any distractions that would push me away from completing my goals.
