Planet Earth. The only planet teaming with life, as we know of so far. From the tallest mountain peaks and ranges, to rolling hills and fields, to the hot desert and cold regions, lowest valleys and deepest oceans. With the numerous plants, animals, fungi, bacteria living on it the Earth is like a living, breathing piece of art. We as humans come from nature. But as humans, we tend to mess up the art.
Humans are different from the other animals for our styles of living are only for benefits, meaning that we don't give back to nature. Or at least, not in a positive way. As a result of achieving our greedy ambitions, we wreck the beautiful planet. We're responsible for polluting the oceans with plastics and trash, polluting the air with airborne chemicals like fossil fuels, and destroying wilderness areas for farming and agriculture. We're responsible for the loss of biodiversity. We're responsible for climate change happening sooner. With all these things , something has to be done.
You can totally do something about this. We can choose to live more green and think more about the planet. Now using traditional energy is not always the best to use for they're limited and harvesting them can damage the environment. But there are ways to make them work. You can focus more on efficient methods of conserving energy and not using a lot of gas or fuel. One way we can do that is to carpool, transporting multiple people in one vehicle. This reduces the need to use more vehicles. Also we can design houses to not use a lot of energy when it comes to things like AC.
As for renewable energy, you can totally use them. One idea is to look at different energy sources that are renewable like solar, wind, water, and biofuels. We can make a generator that harnesses two or more types of energy so that way they can stay operational even if the sun isn't shining or the wind isn't blowing. As for plastic, we can still make them. We just need to actually recycle and reuse them so that the oceans and waterways stay clean and we won't have to mine a lot of oil to make plastics.
Cars and other transportation uses oil, coal, and natural gases. We can redesign them to use solar, waste products, and electricity. For example, we can make a truck run on a fuel made from human waste. As disgusting as that sounds, at least the water ways will be cleaner from less sewage.
