Bio

I love helping other from children to adults. I am the middle child. I have an older brother and a little brother. I come from a single mother who I watch struggle to raise us and taught us the value in having an education. My mother was unable to go to finish high school on time and then life happened. I learned by her foot steps how to become better. She always wanted us to have a better future then she had and I strive for that. I would love to be a therapist so that I can help others and make a difference in someone life. I love animals. I enjoy sports and reading. I have a small library of book in my room. I like antiques and records. You can say I am an old soul.

High school wrestling has helped me grow as a person in ways that go far beyond the mat. What started as just a sport quickly became one of the most important influences on my character, mindset, and work ethic. One of the biggest lessons wrestling has taught me is discipline. The sport requires a level of commitment that few others demand. From intense daily practices to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, I’ve learned how important it is to stay consistent and focused on my goals. Cutting weight, managing my time between school and practice, and pushing myself through tough workouts have all required self-control. There are no shortcuts in wrestling—success comes only through hard work and persistence. This mindset has carried over into other areas of my life, especially in school, where I’ve become more dedicated and organized. Wrestling has also built my mental toughness. Matches can be physically exhausting, but the mental challenge is just as difficult. When you’re tired, behind on points, or facing a tough opponent, you have to push through doubt and keep fighting. I’ve learned how to stay calm under pressure and not give up, even when things aren’t going my way. Losing matches has been especially important for my growth. Instead of seeing failure as something negative, I now see it as an opportunity to learn and improve. Each loss teaches me what I need to work on, making me stronger for the next match. Another important lesson I’ve gained is accountability. Wrestling is an individual sport, so there’s no one else to rely on during a match. Your performance reflects your preparation and effort. This has taught me to take responsibility for both my successes and my mistakes. I’ve become more honest with myself and more motivated to improve, knowing that my progress depends on my own actions. In addition, wrestling has helped me build confidence. Every time I step onto the mat, I challenge myself to be better than I was before. Whether I win or lose, I know I gave my best effort. As I’ve improved my skills and achieved personal goals, I’ve gained a stronger belief in my abilities. This confidence has helped me not only in sports but also in social situations and academics, allowing me to take on challenges I once avoided. Wrestling has also taught me the value of teamwork in an individual sport. Even though I compete alone, I train alongside teammates who push me to improve every day. We support each other through difficult practices and celebrate each other’s successes. This has shown me the importance of encouraging others and being part of something bigger than myself. Finally, wrestling has taught me respect and humility. I’ve learned to respect my coaches for their guidance, my teammates for their support, and my opponents for their effort and determination. No matter the outcome of a match, there is always something to learn. Overall, high school wrestling has shaped me into a more disciplined, resilient, and confident person, preparing me for challenges both in and out of competition.

Education has played a defining role in shaping my goals and giving me a sense of direction, but its influence has gone far beyond academics. For me, learning has been a gradual process of discovering who I am, what I value, and how I want to contribute to the world. Each class, project, and challenge has pushed me to grow in ways I did not always expect, and together they have helped me build a clearer vision of my future. While the path has not always been smooth, the struggles I have overcome along the way have made my goals more meaningful and my commitment to education even stronger. One of the most transformative aspects of my educational journey has been the opportunity to explore a wide range of subjects and perspectives. Early on, I viewed education mostly as a requirement something I needed to complete in order to reach the next stage of life. But as I engaged more deeply with my studies, I began to realize how much learning shapes the way I think and how I understand the world. Courses that challenged me to analyze complex issues, communicate clearly, or collaborate with others helped me recognize strengths I didn’t know I had. They also revealed areas where I needed to grow, pushing me to step outside my comfort zone. Little by little, these experiences helped me develop a stronger sense of who I am and what direction I want to pursue. However, this growth did not happen without obstacles. One of the most significant challenges I have faced has been learning how to manage self-doubt. There were many moments when I questioned whether I was capable enough or whether I truly belonged in certain spaces. Difficult assignments, unfamiliar topics, and high expectations sometimes made me feel overwhelmed. I often compared myself to others who seemed to grasp concepts more quickly or achieve goals with less effort. This mindset became a barrier that limited my confidence and made success feel out of reach. Overcoming this challenge required me to shift my perspective on learning. Instead of seeing education as a measure of ability, I began to see it as a process—a place where growth matters more than instant perfection. I learned to break large tasks into smaller steps and to celebrate progress even when it felt slow. Seeking help from teachers, mentors, and peers became an important part of my journey, teaching me that asking questions is not a sign of weakness but a sign of commitment to understanding. As I developed healthier study habits and a more resilient mindset, I realized that challenges were not roadblocks but opportunities to build strength. Another challenge I had to navigate was time management. Balancing schoolwork with responsibilities outside the classroom often felt overwhelming, especially during periods when deadlines piled up. It took time to learn how to prioritize effectively, create routines that supported my goals, and stay organized without burning myself out. This process taught me discipline, but it also taught me the importance of balance. I learned that success is not just about working hard, but also about working sustainably. These lessons have become an essential part of how I approach new challenges today. Looking ahead, I hope to use my education to create a better future not only for myself but also for others. Education has given me opportunities that I do not take for granted, and I feel a responsibility to give something back. Whether through community involvement, leadership roles, or work in a professional field, I want to use the knowledge and skills I’ve gained to help address real-world challenges. I am especially motivated by the idea of empowering others—helping people access information, resources, or support that can help them reach their own potential. I believe that education has a ripple effect: when one person grows, they become capable of uplifting many others. My long-term goal is to build a career where I can continue learning while also making contributions that matter. I want my education to be more than a personal accomplishment; I want it to be a tool for positive change. Whether that means improving systems, advocating for equity, developing new ideas, or supporting individuals who face struggles similar to the ones I have overcome, I aim to use what I have learned to make a meaningful difference. Ultimately, education has given me more than direction—it has given me purpose. It has taught me resilience, curiosity, and the value of perseverance. It has shown me that growth often begins in moments of struggle and that every challenge carries the potential to shape who we become. As I move forward, I carry these lessons with me, confident that my education will continue to guide me toward a future where I can contribute to something greater than myself.
