Born and raised in Queens, NY. I’m a graduate of CUNY Queens College with a BA in Sociology, Business, and Health Sciences.
I’m pursuing a nursing degree at Columbia University School of Nursing. This program is an intense, full time job with overtime (and no pay). I’m learning a lot and have enjoyed my didactic and clinical experiences so far. I hope to become a family nurse practitioner and be an active provider in my community.
I love being involved in my community. From 6th grade through 12th grade, I volunteered at my church's Greek afternoon school program as an assistant teacher for pre-k and kindergarten. During high school, I participated in community service initiatives such as, volunteering at a soup kitchen, neighborhood clean-ups, poverty awareness, and promotion of environmental sustainability. I also got involved with organizing alumnae events, reunions, and 5K runs.
Throughout my college years, I volunteered in a physical therapy office which led me to choose to pursue a career in nursing.
I also began volunteering at New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital. I have been an active volunteer since 2019, having experiences in their pediatric clinic as well as patient services. The people I have met have made my experience invaluable and I appreciate the opportunity to work ain’t healthcare during the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic.
As you can tell I very much enjoy being involved in multiple activities at once in all different disciplines. My experiences have helped me become a well-rounded individual.
