Bio

I hope to become an established and accomplished doctor one day. I always knew I wanted to go into the medical field one day. I've worked hard in school, maintaining good grades. I've had an amazing opportunity to get more hands-on experience at a hospital by becoming a volunteer for their junior volunteer program. I've also been able to shadow two different medical professionals, and I am planning on shadowing more. I am a dedicated and determined person who does whatever I put my mind to.

From shadowing healthcare professionals to being operated on, I’ve always been drawn to being in a healthcare setting. From a young age, I knew I wanted to be some type of doctor, whether it was for animals or humans. My dream gave me the determination and perseverance to take as many opportunities as I could in order to get early, first-hand experience. Within the past few years, I’ve started to think more seriously about what career I’d like to pursue. I was conflicted about my options since there are so many different professions in healthcare. I thought about it and decided to ask my mom if I could do some shadowing around one of the nearby hospitals. She agreed, and within a few weeks, I shadowed an interventional radiologist and a CRNA. I liked being in the operating room with the CRNA and found the job to be quite interesting. I spent most of the day asking questions and learning about the profession. Later, I researched on my own and was even more enticed and fascinated by the profession. My passion for learning grew, and I found myself asking my high school science teachers about the profession. At my school, there are pathway classes that provide students with a basic foundation for their future careers. I went through the medical pathway and met three lovely teachers who have helped nurture my curiosity. I developed a good relationship with my teachers, so I felt comfortable enough to share my plans with them. Luckily, they were kind enough to answer some of my questions about college and medical school. They didn’t know too much about CRNAs, so I shared some of the things I learned with them. A few of my friends have also joined in our conversations and shared their knowledge. Even now, as I am graduating in a month, my teachers continue to wish me luck with my future endeavors. As I embark on my journey to college, I plan to continue to work on achieving my dream. No matter how difficult it gets, I refuse to fail at pursuing my dreams. I plan on working hard in college to get my bachelor's degree. I know I have to gain some experience as an RN to become a CRNA, so I will work on that while keeping my end goal in mind. I will continue my college education to get my master's, and finally,y I will work hard to become certified. When everything is done, I can begin a career as a CRNA. It will be a long road ahead of me, but I know I am determined to achieve my goals. I will not falter no matter how challenging life gets. I know that when I develop a deep passion for something, I try my very best to never give up. I’ve always taken an interest in the medical field, and to think, after graduation, I am one step closer to following my dreams. I will work nonstop and do my best to make my dream a reality. My determination and perseverance have yet to let me down, and I know deep down that it won’t fail me no matter what.
