I am A'Naiyah Wilson, a freshman in high school with a deep curiosity for commercial real estate and development. I am a dedicated track runner outside of school, a sport that has taught me discipline, concentration, and goal setting qualities that I am confident will see me through any profession I choose. I have forever been intrigued by the development of cities, building usage, and the way companies select appropriate locations for their businesses to thrive and grow. This interest over the years evolved into a concrete objective: I would like to be a commercial real estate professional and eventually own and manage multiple properties myself. What inspired me the most about taking up this career path is seeing how real estate can impact communities and create possibilities for growth, opportunity, and prosperity. Ms. Bryant is the greatest influence in my life and in my interest in real estate. Not only is she my English teacher, but she is also a successful real estate agent. Seeing her juggle the two professions with such passion and commitment has been truly inspirational and eye-opening. She also brings worldly experience to the classroom, regularly drawing on her life as a real estate agent to show how our learning translates to the outside world. Ms. Bryant showed me that it is acceptable to have multiple passions and that hard work and commitment can lead to endless possibilities. Her life has instilled in me the value of education and prompted me to take my future seriously. Ms. Bryant's impact has made me view my goals and the actions I must take to acquire them in a different way. She's also shown me how to be proactive, curious, confident, and assertive in pursuing what I need to do. Thanks to her, I'm learning already about how the real estate business operates and what I need to do to be successful in it. I know it's not going to be easy, but I'm willing to work hard and remain focused and driven. Receiving this scholarship would mean a great deal to me. It would not only remove the upcoming financial burdens of college expenses but also make me aware that someone else believes in my goals as well. The motivation would drive me even more to continue my education, learn, and be prepared for a successful career in commercial real estate. It would be a stepping stone to fulfilling my lifelong dreams.
