    Bold Happiness Scholarship
My name is Anaiahjenelle Deas early we graduate of Waccamaw high school 2022. What makes me happy is making others happy, seeing their expressions and excitement gives me hope in a dark world. Since I was a little girl I had always felt the need to look out for everyone even when i felt that no one would look out for me it has always been my duty to make sure I made someone else happy. As I got older sadly I realized I’d lost myself in that duty. Thankfully regaining my focus and motivation as to why I give with nothing asked in return, my spirit is content in finding joy even in the darkest of times. I truly believe one smile, one song, one talk, one touch can change the world. I love to make people laugh, smile and even cry joyous tears it brings me great peace and clarity. The happiness of others is one of the greatest gift I could ever ask for. To genuinely be the root of someone’s happiness and/or peace is ever so calming and truly gives my life more meaning. In light of my major in Visual & Performance arts and a minor of photography, my entire career is set based upon the reactions and pleasure of my audience. I will be attending a Francis Marion University in August of 2022. The bold happiness Scholorship will encourage my financial navigation as I step into my natural calling of making someone else happy through Visual & performance arts.
    Moriah Janae Dance Grant
My name is Anaiahjenelle Deas an Early 2022 graduate of Waccamaw high school. I’ve been” dancing since diapers “ as my mother likes to say. Dance has always been a major part of my life from the very beginning. I am the praise dance youth ministry leader of my church 7 years in counting & , 4 year section leader and captain in majorette dance for Premier Drum-line, I have done Varsity color guard, cheer, Marching band and many other forms of dance provided my experience in being captain, coaching and dancing with many teams throughout the years. Dance is more than a movement in motion, dance is the expression of life through song. Allowing me to escape. “Shut the world out turn the lights down and give it everything you have “ is what my heart says as i gracefully tap into the intellectual reality of my emotions. So when I’m all choked up and can’t find the words to express how i feel in that moment…I move. But when I move, I move for every Person that can’t. I need my audience to feel my emotions and expressions and grasp them as my soulful attention is one of the highlights in my dancing. At times i can even be seen shedding some tears in light of the adrenaline and emotions that surface as I tell my story through another persons song with the movement of my spirit and body in the presence of others I have hopes to open and own a dance studio in aspiration of my career. The Moriah Janae Dance Scholorship will encourage my financial journey through college as I navigate my major in Visual & performance arts with the minor of Photography at Francis Marion University in August of 2022.
