As a first-generation Mexican-American woman and senior university student majoring in Cyber Operations with a focus on defense and forensics, I am deeply committed to using cybersecurity to protect vulnerable communities and promote digital justice. Inspired by my own experiences growing up without access to technical resources, I’ve developed a passion for uncovering threats through forensics, participating in incident response, and analyzing threat intelligence. My goal is to become a leader in cybersecurity who not only defends systems but also empowers underrepresented voices in tech. With a strong foundation in hands-on security practices and a drive to make lasting change, I hope to use this scholarship to continue my education and give back by building safer, more inclusive digital environments.
