I founded www.Gift8Lives.org as an eighth grader, aiming to increase awareness of organ donation in my community. After hearing the experience of my teacher waiting for a kidney transplant, I saw the impact that a single organ donor could make. I developed an innovative way to support education on the issue by interviewing experts in the field and learned the best ways to strengthen my campaign. I then became a Gift of Life Michigan (Organ Procurement Organization) certified volunteer, and now speak at venues and volunteer at community events like Driver's Ed and health classes to empower youth. In 2018, I started the Gift8lives Club at Troy High School to educate my peers about the issue through events like Libraries for Life and the Gift of Life HOSA Challenge. In 2019, I received the Michigan Governor's Service Award, Gift of Life Michigan Volunteer Champion award, and the Gold President's Volunteer Service Award for the measurable community impact I made.
