My late grandmother was the person who taught me how to cook, and cooking has been a huge part of my life ever since she died. Her cooking was not only a way to feed the hungry, but always to unite families together and show true love to everyone that ate her cooking. I, too, fell in love with cooking while watching her cook when I was little, and now I want to turn that passion into a career and make her proud of me.
I wish to study the culinary arts in order to improve my skills as much as I can. However, my dream is much bigger than becoming a Head Chef. I would like to open my own restaurant, which I want to make a go-to place for delicious food that everyone can enjoy. There are many people who struggle to afford restaurant meals, and my goal is to provide high-quality meals at low prices. I aim to ensure that no one in my community has to face hunger.
It is essential to understand that my goal is not only to serve food. A lot of people miss out on the opportunity to attend culinary school or receive the necessary training to qualify for jobs in the culinary industry.
Having the opportunity to help catering or restaurant companies employ people from my community who have a passion for cooking or just need a job is something I want to do. Doing so allows me to help others in their time of need while giving them an opportunity to learn in the culinary industry while creating jobs for more people. In this way, I am able to help more than one community.
For me, cooking is a passion, if not anything but an obsession. I have a great interest in cooking because it reminds me of my family and my grandma and the love they give me. We would often get together, and food was a beautiful way to unite us. No matter how tough things get, I plan to use my cooking as a way to make a change happen. By opening a restaurant that I can call mine, I want my grandma to know that I am not only serving amazing food but also providing living opportunities to people. No doubt, achieving this will be extremely challenging, but every ounce of energy required to make these dreams come true will be used.
My wish that I can make true is that one day my restaurant will be a place where people can feel at home like it's their second home and enjoy their meals together and feel a sense of community just as I felt when my grandma was still alive and cooking her heart out.
