I was 27 years old the first time someone told me I could do anything I wanted with my life. Not having heard that in my youth, I spent years struggling with my mental health. It took time, growth and a lot of inner work to unlearn the limits I had internalized. I’m passionate about showing people what no one showed me: that they’re capable, worthy and powerful. My lived experience, empathy and determination make me a strong candidate for the mental health field. My goal is to become a physician so I can expand that impact for those who have been made to feel like they are not enough. I am grateful for every experience that has led me to be the person I am.
