Hi, I’m Amberlin! I’m an artist from Wyoming who explores human nature and experimentation through my work. I enjoy studying human interaction across a variety of cultures and am currently exploring new mediums to depict this with. I have received a variety of awards for my artwork, including a regional Scholastic Gold Key and a nomination for the American Visions Award for drawing/illustration in 2020. This award qualified me for the National Scholastic Art and Writing awards where I won a National Gold Medal. I have also participated in local competitions and fairs and won the Rookie of the Year award at the Wyoming State Fair. Throughout my life, I have both struggled with my own mental health and watched others go through the same. Wyoming unfortunately has one of the highest suicide rates in the US; so I am committed to doing my part for mental health awareness. Letting others know you care and offering resources for help and outreach is just some small things you can do to positively change the trajectory of someone's life. I am dedicated to improving myself and my artwork so I am very excited for the opportunity to attend college!
