I am really trying hard to be a Dental Hygienist. Passing the Anatomy and Micro-Immunology classes is very tough for me. I have bad anxiety but have overcome a lot since being adopted when I was a toddler. Coming from drug-addicted biological parents gave me a bad start. My adoptive parents have shown me that moving forward is the way to go and I will overcome my anxiety to get through college and achieve my goal of being a Dental Hygienist.

My dream life looks like a beautiful young woman (me); overcoming many obstacles to acquire my hard-earned goad of being a Dental Hygienist. Taking care of a person's teeth is very important and I know that I am going to be very good at it! The dental field in itself is rewarding in a lot of different ways, not just a competitive salary. It will make be worth going to school for four years to get this degree and will make me feel needed and very enriched for the rest of my life I have always had trouble believing in myself and having the confidence enough to follow through with the goals I set, and with the help of my adoptive parents in my life; constantly pushing me to be the best that I can be, I can achieve my dream of being a more confident woman and a great Dental Hygienist!

I plan to graduate college and make my adoptive parents proud of me as I get through the Dental Hygienist program at IUPUI. Financially it is really hard, but I will get through it. The thing that excites me most about this world is the fact that no matter what kind of harrowing situation you came from early on in life, good, sincere people are out there to scoop you up, and make your life a better and more meaningful one! I plan to help other teenagers that came from bad situations and got adopted. They need to feel like adoption is not a bad thing and they are not alone.
