Hello! I am Amber: mom of 2 beautiful daughters, artist, certified practitioner of therapeutic arts, and educator hopeful. As a mother, I want to be a good role model to follow my dreams and make a difference in the world. My grandmother has said that I was coloring before I could walk. I can't remember a time in my 4 decade lifetime that I haven't been creating something. Teaching is in my blood, and helping people is my other passion. During my college years, I decided that teaching was not the path I wanted to take. Since then, I have created lives, art, and relationships with people who have influenced the way I think. I have spent hours volunteering in my kids' classrooms, and even got handed the keys to an after school program I love: art club. I have been searching for a fulfilling way to live, when the answer was under my nose the whole time. I have the motivation to succeed, and the support of my loved ones. Now I need my credential so I can teach my passion for art to new generations, and inspire them to go after their dreams! I would love to see art incorporated into the learning environment, and used in a way that helps youth address big feelings without complicating situations with words. I am compelled to be at the forefront of making that idea come to life!
