My goal for college is to go and be the first one in my family to completely finish. The major I am pursuing is Nursing. Nursing is important to me because I have seen so many times in the medical field where nurses are mistreating patients. I would love to be a person who helps others with health and helps others period. My main focus with nursing is becoming a pediatric nurse. Being a pediatric nurse means everything to me because so many kids need love. Kids mainly need love in hospitals because they are already not in the best shape and their parents are not there all the time with them. Making them feel like they can get better and have someone in their corner other than family is important to me. Throughout the rest of my life, I want to become a hard-working woman who strives to achieve many tasks set in front of me. My goals are to also have happiness, prosperity in every area in my life, and the freedom and peace within to be able to carry out my goals. My goal is to become a loving wife, a mother and make others happy. Being that my dad is not in my life my mom has struggled to take care of my siblings and I so my goal is to not create a life like that for my kids. My goal is for my family to look back at me and know that they did well raising me. I want to be able to spend quality time with family and enjoy their company. I know that money and material possessions cannot buy happiness, but good relationships can. It’s so important to me to have a family that you can lean on because many can’t. I feel like without my family I wouldn’t be where I am now. My goal is also to have great physical and mental health so that I could enjoy my life to the fullest. I know that good health is the key to happiness, and I am determined to achieve it. Lastly, my relationship with God is everything. Although some may not believe in God, I strongly do. This relationship with God is so important to me because my whole life he’s been my keeper, protector and way maker. I was born preemie baby and I wasn’t supposed to live past 8 years old but if it wasn’t for God on my side I wouldn’t be anywhere. This scholarship will help me pursue my goals in life. I am honored to have an opportunity to share with you.
