Hi, my name is Amaya and I was born and raised in Philadelphia. I am an incoming freshmen at Eastern University who will be majoring in nursing and running track and field. I am the oldest of five and a focused student aiming to obtain my BSN and become a NICU nurse in the long run. I come from a large, hardworking, Jamaican family, and I strive to carry on this ethic in college and beyond. Due to the size of my family and the heavy load of college costs, I am looking for scholarships to assist me in my attendance at Eastern University as a first-generation college student.
