Bio

I am a committed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) who is passionate about community advocacy and patient centered care. I have practical experience providing patients with respect, empathy, and cultural sensitivity through my work as an CNA, especially those from marginalized communities. These encounters have reinforced my ambition to attend medical school and become a doctor who treats illnesses while also addressing the larger societal determinants of health.

When I was younger, I frequently looked up to medical professionals and was always interested in caring for my family members when they became unwell. I loved how they dedicated their patience and hard work to improving people's physical and mental well-being. Oftentimes when I visited the hospital for illnesses I was always amazed by the environment of the hospital and very intrigued on how things were done. Majority of the women in my family work in the medical industry so I had an idea of where I wanted to be in life. My desire to become a doctor only grew stronger over time, not only because I've always felt at ease in a medical setting but also because it was common in my family for people to get sick, and being there without knowing how to help them inspired me to learn more and concentrate on how I might be able to help people in the future. I was thrilled to know that I could save lives since, in addition to pursuing my dream, I would be enabling the person I saved to live their life and pursue their own goals. Right now, I'm enrolled in a high school course that focuses on job choice. I'm enrolled in an Allied Health course that teaches us how to provide care for others. I even had the opportunity to volunteer as a caretaker and assist with residents' everyday tasks during an internship at a nursing home. If/when I pass the test, my high school has offered me the chance to obtain my CNA certification by the end of this year, which will enable me to work in the healthcare industry and move one step closer to my dream of becoming a doctor. In light of this experience, I made the decision to continue my education by enrolling in college in the fall of 2025. I'll have new experiences and learn more about the human body and the healthcare industry when I go to college. In order to advance my knowledge and abilities, I intend to attend medical school after graduating from college with a wealth of fresh perspectives on medicine. My objective is to become the first doctor, the first college graduate, and a reliable individual for a large number of people. My goal is for many individuals to be content with their health. I am dedicated to my studies and profession with this objective in mind, and I will do everything within my power to fulfill this dream in the future.
