My name is Amari May, and I’m a Computer Science major at Spelman College. With experience in Python, C++, Java, JavaScript, React, and Next.js, I’m passionate about using technology to build impactful solutions while expanding access and opportunities for underrepresented communities in tech. I’ve gained hands-on software engineering experience through an internship at the Ron Clark Academy, where I built React applications, enhanced UI/UX with Tailwind CSS, and collaborated in Agile workflows. I’m also part of the Black Venture Capital Consortium’s Software Engineering Track, where I’m developing full-stack projects and building my professional network. On campus, I serve as Chief of Staff for the Afro-Latinidad Executive Board and contribute to the Advanced Coding Collective Mentorship Committee, blending leadership with technical collaboration.
