The biggest problem facing the world right now is climate change. Climate change threatens the whole world and is rapidly becoming a more and more imminent threat. As more and more ice caps melt in the polar north and south sea levels rise, threatening those who live along any coast. The oceans are incredibly polluted and threaten the lives of sea creatures. The atmosphere of the planet has changed due to greenhouse gases released by corporations making weather more dramatic. There are many more effects of climate change on the world that will ultimately have a negative effect on everyone and everything if nothing is done about it soon. There are many things that can be done to begin the process of combating climate change. One of the first things that can be done is for countries can begin to start limiting the number of pollutants that corporations can produce. Corporations are the overall largest contributors to pollution and the main cause of climate change. So the best way to prevent further damage is to force corporations to no longer do additional damage to the planet and fine them for any further damage that they cause going further.

One practical solution for helping more people who struggle with mental health is to make mental health care more accessible to everyone. Services like therapy are incredibly helpful, not only to those who struggle with mental health but to everyone are very hard to obtain. It can be a struggle to find affordable therapy or therapists who take certain insurances, and finding a therapist that you trust can be very hard. Many people see multiple therapists before they find one that they are comfortable with. Not only are there many difficulties that many people face with finding therapy there are also many accessibility issues with various other types of mental health care. Getting access to a psychiatrist and medication is also difficult and expensive, even with insurance it can be out of people's budgets. Emergency care such as hospitalization faces similar issues with affordability. The best way to help more people who struggle with mental health is to make mental health care accessible to everyone who needs it.

Mental health is something that I have always had to deal with whether or not I was fully aware of it. Growing up I dealt with family members with various mental illnesses of varying degrees of severity. As I got older I also had to learn to deal with my own mental health. During my time in high school I struggled, I dealt with anxiety and depression. These struggles have had many effects on how I understand and deal with others. One of the main things that I had to realize was that you can never truly be sure of what others are dealing with. I have become more understanding of those around me because of that realization. I also find myself more willing to work with others, after realizing that isolating myself only made things worse I started working on being more willing to reach out to others and work with them. I also had to change the way that I made goals. I used to set goals that were near impossible for me to reach and I would only get worse when I could not achieve a given goal. My experience with mental health has made me realize that I need to set smaller and more easily attainable goals instead of a large impossible one. Now when I set goals for myself I set them in the short term, they are always things that I actively have to work towards but they are attainable. My understanding of the world has changed since I started learning about my own struggles. I have started to realize that the world may not seem like the most forgiving place but there are people who are working together to make it a better place for everyone. That work is incredibly important. I used to be a pessimist and I thought that there was no use in trying to fix a world that was always working against everyone who lived there. Now I realize that while the world may be working against people that does not mean that we should not work to make it better because when we work to make the world better it is not just for those who are currently here, it is for those who are coming after us.
