Hello, My name is Amanda Meade, and I want to thank you for taking the time out to read my essay today. Every since I have been a small child, technology has always fascinated me and has been used daily ever since. Looking back, my favorite tech invention of the last 10 years is the Google Assistant. Google is one technology company I trust. I love my Google assistant; it helps me to stay organized, it allows me to schedule things to my calendar without opening up the calendar app! Just by saying Hey Google, add this appointment to this day and time, and just like that, you are done and moving on with your day. I can honestly say without it; I would be lost! It provides you with a friend when you need a little help with planning your day, making lists, and searching for things on the internet. My favorite part of the assistant is the map feature. Why might you ask? Because all I have to do is say the address, and it will pull up the directions for you without having to type all of the information in. The Google Assistant has so many great features, and I use it daily in my life. It does so much for me that looking back; I don't know how I ever lived without it! By obtaining my Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Cybersecurity, I hope to graduate with enough knowledge to catch the criminals working behind the scenes hurting people financially and causing them years' worth of devastation. I hope to contribute new ideas and ways to make things better. I hope to make the internet a safer place to be by protecting sensitive information. I am pursuing this degree because of my passion for technology and because I have always been the one who is always helping someone in one way or another and by protecting their online identity and keeping their personal information safe is just another way I can contribute to making the world a better place. I hope to contribute and teach what I have learned to those around me and teach them how to be safe while conducting business on the internet. By sharing my experiences, knowledge, and insights, I hope that people will walk away learning something that they didn't know and feeling confident about how to be safe while browsing the internet.
