I have endured hardship, transition, and real success. While being an athlete I broke my elbow and wrist leading to being challenged and embracing a different perspective on the hardship. That created new friendships and opportunities to grow. Out of all of that, I want to take into the next leadership role that people are essential to me and I want to help them be successful. All these experiences help me lead in a way where kindness and compassion bring out the best in the people I am around. I could see how my ability to build people up positively affected everyone around me. I want to take all these experiences into my college and career to continue the journey of becoming my best self. If you ask anyone who knows me you would soon figure out that nutrition and cooking are huge components of my life. I am constantly thinking about the next meal I could create or show my culinary talents. Maintaining healthy lifestyle ties in with how you nourish your body, by creating wholesome meals. Starting to build wholesome patterns such as introducing whole foods into your diet will evolve into habits that become a part of your everyday routine. As our world becomes more advanced, we have new opportunities to become healthier people. Healthy eating habits are becoming more prevalent and engaging.     From an early age, I learned about fun, passion, and determination to bring success to myself and the people around me. Throughout my life golf has been a prominent part of who I am. My dad loves the game and does anything to play, anywhere. Once I was able to walk my dad gave me a club and told me to swing as hard as I can. In the early years of my life, golf wasn't consistent but my family would play around at the range every now and then. Golf wasn't a serious piece of my life until my freshman year of high school when I broke my wrist. During a cheer practice, my wrist dislocated and my cheer career came to an end. I knew golf was fun but never really gave the game a second thought. Until my dad realized that I was not too bad and placed me on our school golf team as soon as he could. From the first practice to the last practice, joining the team has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I not only have become better at golf but a better person. I have gained an outstanding understanding of teamwork, goal setting, and leadership. I have been entitled to be the team captain and positively influence the girls on my team. All these experiences help me lead in a way where kindness and compassion bring out the best in the people I am around. I wouldn't be the same person today if I never met my coach or the extraordinary teammates that shaped who I am. I have grown to love the game these last four years exponentially. Excitement runs through my brain when my dad says we have a tee time in an hour or asks me to go hit some balls. I would have never thought golf would turn into such a big part of my life if you asked me five years ago. It has produced such a prominent impact and passion, I am looking to play in college. They were true examples of love and walked the life I want to. They led my family with their skills and how well they took care of us. They taught me how to be a true leader throughout my community and family. Leadership roles such as the Youth group planning team and small group leadership have created a devotion to serving my community. I have endured hardship, transition, and real success. While being an athlete I broke my elbow and wrist leading to being challenged and embracing a different perspective on the hardship. That created new friendships and opportunities to grow. We found out in the summer of 2014 my grandpa had lung cancer and was sick for a while. He was stage 4 and went through chemotherapy multiple times. I was unaware of this until it got so bad we needed to visit him. We then got the news that he was not doing so well. I was only in 5th grade so not much of the whole situation made much sense to me. I knew what cancer was but didn't truly figure out what it was until it was time for my parents to visit him alone. The last time I saw him, he was in a bed not able to get up and walk without heavy help. He was joyful throughout the whole time and never looked sad. This is what I aspire to be. All these experiences help me lead in a way where kindness and compassion bring out the best in the people I am around. There were many times in cheer and golf when I cared for my teammates and led them. During multiple golf practices, I was able to see the ripples that kindness and compassion have over people. My dad loves the game and does anything to play, anywhere. Once I was able to walk my dad gave me a club and told me to swing as hard as I can.     Over the years technology has advanced at a rapid pace. Due to the increase in technological advancements, technology has negatively and positively affected our world. Scientists have been able to detect cancer in its early stages and transport astronauts to the moon with increasing improvements. Both great and undersized problems have been solved and enabled to modernize our world. Our lives have become more straightforward and accessible as technology creates avenues for our growing world. Wearable features have taken the world by storm and proved to be extremely practical. Every day people use smartwatches to track their heart rates, steps, and many more. As an athlete a watch is very useful, helping to keep me focused and energized. I can adjust my watch to my schedule and utilize it to my benefit. I use a smartwatch every day, not just for workouts but for texting, emails, games, and so on. Whenever I don't have my phone, I can effectively respond to texts and receive messages as soon as I get them, keeping me informed on my recent notifications. The healthcare a watch can provide is immense and incredibly helpful to people who need to be monitored. Many free apps are available to track your blood pressure, check your bank account, and the weather, to say only a few. All who obtain any type of smartwatch can stay updated, checked, and advanced with all the resources that wearable technology can provide.     Scholarship for Golfers
    From an early age, I learned about fun, passion, and determination to bring success to myself and the people around me. Throughout my life golf has been a prominent part of who I am. My dad loves the game and does anything to play, anywhere. Once I was able to walk my dad gave me a club and told me to swing as hard as I can. In the early years of my life, golf wasn't consistent but my family would play around at the range every now and then. Golf wasn't a serious piece of my life until my freshmen year of high school when I broke my wrist. During a cheer practice, my wrist dislocated and my cheer career came to an end. I knew golf was fun but never really gave the game a second thought. Until my dad realized that I was not too bad and placed me on our school golf team as soon as he could. From the first practice to the last practice, joining the team has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. I not only have become better at golf but a better person. I have gained an outstanding understanding of teamwork, goal setting, and leadership. I have been entitled to be the team captain and positively influence the girls on my team. All these experiences help me lead in a way where kindness and compassion bring out the best in the people I am around. There were many times in cheer and golf when I cared for my teammates and led them. During multiple golf practices, I was able to see the ripples that kindness and compassion have over people. I could see how my ability to build people up positively affected everyone around me. I want to take all these experiences into my college and career to continue the journey of becoming my best self. The relationships I have built within this have created a strong foundation in my game and personal life. The new friends have led me through my high school years and are leaders to aspire to. I can only remember team captains and coaches who have helped me thrive, developing such a great high school experience. My current coach helps me whenever I need it and goes out of her way every day to demonstrate her dedication to her athletes. I wouldn't be the same person today if I never met my coach or the extraordinary teammates that shaped who I am. I have grown to love the game these last four years exponentially. Excitement runs through my brain when my dad says we have a tee time in an hour or asks me to go hit some balls. I would have never thought golf would turn into such a big part of my life if you asked me five years ago. It has produced such a prominent impact and passion, I am looking to play in college. I know playing college golf will only help my game and create even more relationships to look back to.
    Dog Owner Scholarship
    Throughuot the years that I have lived in my beloved home, I have owned two dogs. Before I was even born my parents owned a Dalmation mix named Kiera. She was always happy and energetic about anything. She especially loved to meet new people and would jump for joy when someone would be invited into our home. Towards the middle of 2014, she started to jump less and slowly eat smaller portions of food. our family then realized it was time to say goodbye to Kiera. We later found out she was not only sick, but she had a small cancer infection that would have grown if we didn't let her go. She lived for more than 16 years and will never be forgotten in our family. Not even a month later my dad takes us on a surprise car ride to the pound. We didn't realize what was happening until he came out a couple of minutes later with a baby German Shepard mix. He was scared at first and would hide in a cardboard box for a couple of weeks, but eventually, he would greet us when we got home and walk next to us. We didn't name him until we truly got to understand his personality. The pound named him Spade, but we as a family felt his name was Spencer. He may bark at everything that moves, but he is a good guard dog. I never feel unsafe when I am around him because I know he will protect me. He is a mixture of loving, strong, and protective. German Shepard dogs are trained to hunt small animals and are seen as very ferocious. Although Spencer is mostly a German Shepard he has a very kind heart and I can tell how much he generally cares about our family. In my 6th grade year, my social studies teacher got a bunny and we named her Penny. She was so sweet and I grew a special connection with her. I changed her cage every Monday and we spent mounds of quality time together. This passion for caring for animals only grew, especially for bunnies. I begged my parents to get a rabbit for the next 6 years and eventually they felt it was time. Last Easter I woke up to a special present in front of my door, a petite bunny! Over the past year and a half, I and no so little anymore bunny grow closer every day. I named him Elvis, due to my love for Elvis Presley. When we first got Elvis my parents were very concerned about how Spencer would react to the new family member. Over time they have grown closer as well and I could not be happier as to how they treat each other. Spencer is able to hold back his German Shepard genes when he is around Elvis, showing his kind heart again and again. All dogs have good qualities and bad qualities, but we love them no matter what. Dogs play a great role in my life and were significant in my childhood as I grew up. Without dogs, our world would feel more unsafe and man would be without his best friend.

    Learning is essential for everyone no matter who you are. You could either be a petite kindergartner who just desires to learn the alphabet or a surgeon who has to persist with the ever-changing and advancing technology. In order for our world to thrive, we need to make errors, for a world without mistakes makes us inhuman. We can't alter our minds to become robots and experience no emotions, but we can utilize those mistakes to learn and mature. Personally, I can't measure how many mistakes I have produced in my life, but it would be in the thousands and comparable to the surrounding individuals. From an early age, I discovered how fun, passion, and determination yield success to me and to the people around me. Leadership roles such as the Youth group planning team and small group leadership have produced a devotion to serving my community. Through these leadership roles I have taken, I have not only assisted the community around me, but I personally have benefited as well. Creating new relationships through the learning experiences and opportunities that will last for the rest of my life. I have endured hardship, transition, and real success through learning. While being an athlete I broke my elbow and wrist leading to being challenged and embracing a diverse perspective on the hardship that initiated new friendships and opportunities to grow. Out of all of that, I have learned that I want to take on the next leadership role, that people are essential to me and I want to help them be successful. I will continue to learn in everything I do, supporting myself and the people around me to become the best version of ourselves. All these experiences help me lead in a way where kindness and compassion bring out the best in the people I am around.
