Scholarcash Role Model Scholarship
My role model is my Step Father, an amazing man who was born without hands or feet. He is my role model because even with his disabilities he never stops fighting and always takes on new challenges. Even though he is not my "real" Dad, he loves, supports and motivates me to grow and learn. Seeing my Dad continue to be positive and do the things he loves motivates me to try to be a better person and pursue the things I want to do. He loves four wheeling in his jeep and he is the best driver I know. He used to snowboard until a few years ago, and he is very social and gets along with most people, at least the ones who aren't scared or disgusted of him. He deserves a lot more than he has gotten in life and I wish to grow into a daughter he is proud of and be able to repay him for all he has done for me. My Dad supports me with every decision I make. When I wanted to be a veterinarian he would offer to help me try to shadow one of the vets in our town. I told him I was thinking about graphic design and video/photo editing, he offered to buy me a better computer to practice. He is always helping me get work and learning opportunities. As I am still a kid and still learning, he helps teach me life lessons and skills for my future. Even though we get mad and frustrated with each other, I am thankful for my Dad and role model. Furthermore he loves my family in ways I wish I could. He is always helping my mother in any and every way he can. By doing the small things like getting her coffee everyday, or helping raise me and my siblings, and even taking care of my mom when she's sick or hurting. My Dad helps my little sister with school and studying, and my older sister by getting her a new car, phone, and microwave. Hopefully I can get into college, get a good job, and be able to support my family the way he has all these years. Even though he has only been in our life's for around eight years, he has made a lasting impact on me and my family. I love him and could not ask for a better role model, motivater, and Father. Thank you Dad for teaching, loving, supporting, and helping me and family. You are an incredible person and parent and I can only hope to repay you for that.
