My next few steps in education are hopefully attending Peirce College which is just 8 or so minutes outside of Puyallup, which is where I plan to live while completing my bachelor’s degree in applied science in dental hygiene. I will begin my schooling the following year after my graduation to complete the rest of my prerequisites for the Dental Hygiene program. Currently, I am taking courses through Central Washington university to attempt to complete as many prerequisite credits as possible before I am off on my own. I want to apply to other schools as well after I take my DHAT ( dental hygiene admissions test) because I do not want to miss out on going somewhere like The University of Washington or Eastern Washington because I never tried. As far as my future goals go I want to work in a pediatric dental office, I would love to be working in Issaquah at Issaquah Kids Dentistry or Issaquah Dental Care. At the end of the day any work experience is valuable and I will be lucky to find placement at any dental office. I cannot say for sure if my education will end at dental hygiene or if I will continue to complete higher education like going into a dentistry program. I feel that my future will develop and become what it is supposed to in time and all I can do is put my best foot forward that being said I could tell you I will be a dentist when I am 30 but it honestly could change in the next five years. One thing that is for sure is I want to stay in Washington as it is where my family is, eventually I may travel further but Washington is my home and it is true you know there is no place like home.
