My life goals are to become an educator of truth, helping guide our future generations to come how to live life successfully and through the light of God. My professional goals as an educator are to transform my students through the information they learn and from my actions. I want to teach students how to be successful in the real world and take on any challenge. As I am going to be a math teacher, many people underestimate the importance of math. I want to show the world that math is more than just numbers. Math reveals how we can find different mechanisms to produce solutions to our problems. When we master math, we master the art of finding solutions to problems. This is easily applicable to our daily lives; we can see this in financial struggles, our jobs, schools, etc. Overall, I want to show everyone that math is a God-given truth that can transform our daily lives if we learn what it was truly made for. The relationship between God and me has been like a rollercoaster ride. I was raised as a Catholic and only knew what religion was compared to a relationship with God. I attended public school up until high school, and I went to a Catholic school. This is where I was introduced to the Bible and learned that many of my morals and standards come from the Bible. However, it was not until I got recruited to play beach volleyball at Arizona Christian University that my heart for God was transformed. I had a crazy encounter with God in my first Bible class, and my professor, Dr. McKee, led me to find God. As I found God I got baptized at chapel that took place at ACU. However, last year on February 28th, 2025, I was sexually assaulted in my sleep. At that moment, I became traumatized and completely lost my relationship with God. I was so lost and blamed God for my traumatic experience. Fortunately, I was surrounded by a Christ minded team and got into therapy. I slowly started to repair my relationship with God and this year, 2026 has been the best year of my life. Though I still struggle with nightmares and PTSD, I play beach volleyball and had the best season of my life. I went undefeated in the NAIA and even beat D1 teams! Overall, I wouldn’t be able to be successful and find my spark again without God. I want to be a public educator due to the need for God in the darkness. Many public schools have large populations of students who face struggles with diversity, economic hardships, and learning disabilities. I come from a long line of educators, and they have all had the same goal of impacting our future generations for the better. One of my favorite tasks to accomplish is helping others without recognition or aid in return. My life mantra is based on servant leadership. I strive to be more like Jesus every day, and in the public school system, this mantra is challenged. Since we can not openly share, spread, or preach our faith in the classroom, we can spread it through our actions, words, and the way we serve others. If I can be a model of Christianity, others will follow the behaviors, morals, and mission that Christianity upholds. They might not know it, but I can pave the way for students to be on God’s path before God is able to bless their lives.
