I read books daily.
Resilience has been the cornerstone of my journey. Overcoming significant personal challenges and celebrating four years of sobriety have instilled in me the power of transformation. As a published author and recent honor roll student, my academic pursuits initially led me toward English education. However, a deeper calling has emerged, drawing me towards the field of clinical counseling. My own experiences have ignited a passion to empower others navigating similar struggles. Witnessing the transformative power of therapy firsthand motivates me to become a counselor who fosters healing and growth. My undergraduate degree in English has honed my communication skills and instilled a deep appreciation for the human experience – both invaluable assets in the therapeutic setting. Balancing full-time work with my studies has instilled in me the value of dedication and perseverance. Earning scholarships isn't just about financial support; it's a recognition of my commitment to this new path. These scholarships will allow me to finish my undergrad and, therefore, pursue my master's degree in clinical counseling and ultimately make a profound difference in the lives of individuals and families.
