Bio

my life goals are helping the world, starting the process to reverse climate change, and helping others by donating through my success. I feel I'm a great candidate because I care about others and wish to help them through my success if I can't do much alone.

    Beaming Health Autism Post-Secondary Scholarship
I wasn't diagnosed with autism until my senior year. The bullying, issues with verbal communication and difficulty making friends didn’t help, but despite all of these struggles, I managed to get to the point that I was able to get out of the IEP program, become an AVID scholar, and join the NHS. Being diagnosed with autism explained many of the past and current struggles I find myself in. However, I manage to make whatever I face work out in the end. My main goal is actually created after a wildfire. My determination to succeed and contribute in the fight against cancer with donation from that success came from the loss of my best friend, after she died of cancer. However she's not the only contributing fact, the firefighters that risk their lives to put out that fire and evacuate citizens is also a factor to me creating this goal. That and the possible de-extinction of the passenger pigeon and their very flammable droppings is another factor I considered. My main life goal is to get into the environmental engineering field and solve problems around the world. One of them is to create a safe and inexpensive way of producing power, using magnets as the main material. Another is to create a filtration facility to filter both microplastic and salt, converting them to freshwater. Then, using pumps, the water will be used to hydrate dry vegetation to reduce and slow wildfires. However, due to possible expenses, it won't cover everything but will provide time for firefighters and reduce chances of casualties. When the vegetation is no longer dry enough to be a fire hazard, the excess water has many other uses. Excess water can even be sold in bottles for drinking or be used for agriculture and farms. This can even benefit marine life, as the lowering of the rising sea level could not only prevent damage to reefs, but also prevent island inhabitants from losing their homes. As for how post-secondary education will get me there, they’ll help me understand the limits of my ideas and provide insight to how I can improve those plans until they are achievable. I will also have the opportunity to learn more about how everything will work and things I need to do to accomplish these goals. The more I learn more about the field, the more I can piece the rest of the puzzle and complete that goal. Not to mention the projects I could do as my first steps to completing those goals. Another factor in contributing to getting me to my goal involves work experience. This helps me prepare for any struggles I might face and provides me insight to what kinds of action I must take to reach my goals. Despite unknowingly living with autism for my whole life, I made it here thanks to the support of my teachers and parents. Without them, and my best friends, I would never have made it this far. Thanks to my honors geometry teacher, I found my passions for solving problems in environmental engineering.
    Bold Financial Freedom Scholarship
Before, I didn't know what loans, credit score, and even how credit cards work. Its not until AVID senior year where I learned pretty much ever financial advice I currently know. One of the advice I learned being how to obtain a great credit score. My AVID teacher talked about how the best interest is 0% interest is true, but not realistic. Through video lessons in class, I learned about how buying things up front is cheaper than renting or loaning. However, not everyone can afford to purchase things up front, especially the poor. The poor may relay on loans at some point and when it comes time to pay back, it may be more then the amount they loaned, just like renting something instead of paying up front. To start, obtain a secured credit card, a credit card that has a back up savings account that he bank has access to incase you don't pay the credit card bill. This card works by allowing you to own a risky free credit card to both you and the bank. With an account the bank can take the bill payment so they won't loose anything if you were to not pay your bill and you getting to have a way to start off your credit score. If you are unable to pay for the bill or you don't pay it, the bank takes the money from the account to cover your cost and take your card privilege away as you couldn't use your card responsibly. In other words, If you want to obtain a great credit score, you must prove that your responsible with money and guaranteed to pay back on time.
    Richard Neumann Scholarship
Ever Since the devastating Oregon wildfire, it sparked an idea no one seems to have thought of. My dream of becoming successful in life to help others needed a start and plan. One that could not only leave me with a home to come back to and enough money to donate, but one that would help the planet along the way. My idea starts with the ocean, rising with every ice shelf breaking off the arctic walls. To begin with, we need to remove seawater from the rising ocean. It will need to be filtered, separating the salt from the water. The water is the key to this whole operation. It’ll be pumped through pipes with sprinklers lining the outer walls of the pipes to provide the dry vegetation of Oregon and California water. That is step one, reducing wildfires. The very likely cause of wildfires is dehydrated vegetation. Better to water plants than pay for constant damages due to wildfires and the loss of homes. Step two is providing extra water to farms and bottling the water as long as it's safe for both. The facility will need a source of income to stay afloat, whether taxes as a service or sales from the sea salt and water. The need for a way of filtering microplastics from both salt and water is necessary as well to ensure the health and safety of the consumers. A bonus if this is expanded to other places in need of water like Africa and extra to algae farms. The number of uses for algae could benefit the economy as well as provide an abundant resource. The third and final step is to start using the money on a new project. Designed to counter the very cause of climate change, this project is to discover an efficient way of solidifying carbon gas. Algae farms are one of the possibilities. The need to renew or reuse carbon gas for more beneficial methods is designed to not only help the economy but to reverse climate change. While this is being done, the conversion from fossil fuel to sustainable and electric-dependent machinery is essential in preventing the continuous growth of climate change. When climate change’s effects are finally showing signs of being reversed, the business will continue to ensure that climate change will no longer become a threat and the donation of money to causes in saving the world of our mistakes. The need to start converting workers from fossil fuel energy plants to energy facilities will be important as well, as the continued production of carbon waste will only render the world more to deal with than needed. If done right, the facility will run long enough that by the end, the introduction of passenger pigeons will not be of any threat. Getting started will no doubt be rough with what needs to be built, but it's a start. Not knowing much about business and lacking the funds, this can not be achieved alone. However, with the right mindset and the right help, this may be one of our few options in solving this world-impacting issue. We have the solutions and technology to solve this yet, nothing is being done. To conclude this topic, we’re running out of time, the faster we act the better.
