There are many negative things in the environment that can impact our health and well-being. Some of these include air pollution, water pollution, deforestation, climate change, and loss of biodiversity. These issues can lead to a range of health problems, from respiratory illnesses to cancer, and can also impact the natural world around us. It's important that we work together to address these challenges and find sustainable solutions to protect our planet and our health. We can change these environmental issues by taking small steps in our daily lives to reduce our impact on the planet. This can include actions like reducing our energy consumption, recycling, using public transportation or carpooling, and reducing our consumption of meat and dairy. It's also important to support policies and initiatives that prioritize sustainability and environmental protection, such as renewable energy and conservation efforts. By working together and taking small steps, we can make a big impact in protecting our planet for future generations. Reducing our use of single-use plastics, and supporting companies and organizations that prioritize sustainability. We can also work to educate ourselves and others about the impacts of environmental issues and advocate for policies and actions that promote sustainability and environmental protection. By coming together and taking action, we can make a positive impact on the health of our planet and the well-being of future generations. A healthy planet is important because it is essential for the survival and well-being of all living things, including humans. The environment provides us with many resources, such as clean air and water, food, and natural resources, that are necessary for our health and survival. Additionally, a healthy planet helps to regulate the climate and weather patterns, which impacts the natural world and human societies. By protecting the health of the planet, we can ensure a sustainable future for ourselves and future generations. If the planet is not healthy, it can have many negative impacts on the natural world and human societies. This can include issues such as air and water pollution, deforestation, loss of biodiversity, and climate change. These issues can cause a range of problems, such as increased rates of disease, food, and water shortages, and more extreme weather events. In conclusion, taking steps to protect the health of the planet is essential for the survival and well-being of all living things, including humans. By making small changes in our daily lives, supporting policies and initiatives that prioritize sustainability and environmental protection, and educating ourselves and others about the importance of environmental issues, we can make a big impact on the health of the environment and the well-being of future generations. By working together to promote a healthier planet, we can ensure a sustainable future for ourselves and future generations.

A little bit about my self, I lived in Uganda as a refugee for over a decade. I was 8 years old when I became a refugee. First thing i realized after becoming a refugee is i stick to my kind of people that is refugees from my country because people outside of my community looked down on people of my kind. When I travel outside of refugee camp, I felt vulnerable because if something bad happens to me there will be no protection. I remember there was this one time my friends and I went to play soccer in the streets, there was a group of people fetching water on the well. They heard us speaking a foreign language and they started telling us really bad thing. Like we don’t belong, go back to your country, they even threatened us. We couldn’t go make a report about the threats because as a refugee, even the Police might exploit you, not that they don’t exploit the locals either but as refugees we were treated ten times worse. I always worried about the future of me and my family but I was helpless as there was no hope to go somewhere to settle with my family as we had no money. Anyways, thanks to United Nations organization, my family and I.settled in US a well developed country and we are so grateful to this country for giving us chance to rebuild our lives. When I was in class 10th, I used to go to the government hospital in my town Houston. There was a physician, Dr. Pankaj Jain, very famous in the town, who used to see each patient properly, giving adequate time and having a melodious and healing voice. He used to give so much respect to his patients. Me and my mom,, after having waited for a long time, could be able to enter his chamber and it gave me a very lasting impression in my mind that doctor is a true healer of so many pains, both physical and emotional. I always wanted to become like him. He was my role model. Fortunately, I was good at studying to achieve my goal. The second factor why I chose to become a doctor is my mother’s wish. She always encouraged me to work hard in my studies and used to tell me inspiring stories of treatment by great doctors. I owe my mother for shaping my career. So, this was my story about why I wanted to become a doctor. But how I became a doctor, the hardships I faced, and things I learned are different sets of stories to be told some other time. I want to enter a noble and respected profession that will allow me to go home after a shift knowing that I have made a difference to someone's life. That difference may be something big, like saving a life or it may be something smaller like relieving somebody's pain. I have always been interested in the human body, how it works, what can go wrong with it and how it can be fixed, so for me becoming a doctor isn't a future job, it's a calling. I could carry on writing about all the reasons why I want to become a doctor, but that would take too long, so I have given you one of the main reasons why I want to become a doctor.

There are so many reasons for me why I love soccer. Soccer is such a beautiful game, not only because of the skill you get to see from that little kid playing on the sand or street to that professional footballer we all love to see on match-days, but it is also a game that brings people together, breaking barriers along the way, regardless of age, race, religion, political affiliation etc. I can’t even count the number of people I’ve met playing football in meetups, tournaments etc, because in football all that matters is that you are willing to play, and it doesn’t matter if you win or lose. like it as I feel it is a beautiful game where two teams fight with their own strategy and try to execute their plans to succeed just like we fight hard in life to succeed. Soccer gives me inspiration like a never giving up attitude, team spirit, getting excellence through hard work and dedication. I like it because I try to watch not only game but the skills like dribbling, long & short pass, free kick, corner kick, penalty, defense, zonal marking, positioning strategy, ball possession tactics, stamina, header, speed, agility, strength, flexibility, touch on the ball. When you start watching soccer with curiosity and with close attention to the technical aspects, I am sure you can't stay without liking it. Sports are great and one can learn a lot of life lessons as well as perseverance and time management. But education is the key. I believe sports are a part of being a well-rounded person. They use other parts of the brain from academics and contribute to overall physical and mental health. Exercise helps with depression and improves sleep. It improves balance and coordination. Some sports require strategy. Team sports teach working cooperatively, learning rules, and applying them, being responsible to show up on time, and caring for your teammates who might get injured. Picture a triangle with academics or intellectual pursuits at one corner, physical activities at another and spiritual activities at the third. These might be taking part in organized religion or meditation, showing gratitude, and reflection. In my life, I try to keep the balance in the center. If I drift too far toward the academic. I try to add more sports or exercise and more time for self reflection. This makes me feel more balanced. Sports is a lifelong interest, but, for professionals, it is a relatively short-term career, given that one’s body changes as it ages, with injuries speeding up the change away from the brilliant fitness of the peak years. Maturity can compensate for the gradual decline from peak, but a changing body cannot be stopped. Education, on the other hand, keeps on giving. You go to college, explore different fields, build a career in one, continue learning, and perhaps go in another direction. The brain declines over time, but over several decades rather than the length of a sports career. When anyone says “whatever happened to so-and-so?” After they retired, I bet they used their sports network in combination with their education to go in a new direction. If they didn’t have an education, what do they do now?

Education is important to young people because it provides youth with tools and critical skills to employment ,provide for themselves and their families in the future . It also helps bring awareness to economic growth ,environmental issues and sustainability. Education teaches you how to communicate, read, write, put up with things you don’t agree with which you have to do a lot in life, and the school schedule aligns with most work schedules, so it teaches you how to get up early, dress professionally in a sense, take your lunch break and get back to work Teens need education because as they are young adults, and they will be the future one day, they need to know the basic skills and knowledge that academics teach to them. Teens need to grow their brains with knowledge and learn all the information they can before they have to set sail in the real world and become one of the adults who make decisions for society, themselves, and others. Even their careers. Teenage students have a lot to learn, and it is in fact very important and crucial that they do. Teenagers have young, active minds under formation, and this is the easiest time for them to absorb knowledge and gain understanding. Education acts as the path leader of youth. It is with the help of education that the youth can choose and seek their interests, They choose their ways and directions of life. With this they set goals for themselves and strive to achieve them. Education propels the youth in the right proper and straight directions. Education helps youth become better citizens ,get a better paid job, and shows the difference between good and bad. Education shows youth the importance of hard work and at the same time helps them to grow and develop. Thus we are able to shape a better society to live in by knowing and respecting rights, laws and regulations. I believe education is the most important tool you can receive that can bring you the most success in society today. Education lessens the challenges you will face in life. The more knowledge you gain the more opportunities will open up to allow individuals to achieve better possibilities in carrier and personal growth.Education helps to open brains , have self dependence and easy understanding. Without education, it is difficult to differentiate between the right and the wrong. It is possible that day might be influenced by forces that will have a negative impact on themselves and the society they belong to.

In my he young age I start to do sports for my School and my province. I was just a 10 year boy I was one of the best with any sports I do. When I was 17 years old I won my gold medals for in 3 different sports. My life is made of sports, so I am planning to stay active for long time. So I started working out after high school graduation. I started Working out regularly and I became more disciplined , hardworking and perseverance. Developing my body in a better shape and gaining that strength took time and patience and continuous work, not only physical but it is also mentally exhausting to be in that state of wanting a better physique. I try to keep my diet in check, I have learned to control my will power and say NO to things that might hamper my physical growth which you are trying to achieve like alcohol and smoking. I have learned to control my desires and it helps me with everything. I make my own meals so that I can catalyst my physical growth that I want, I have a target to achieve. This made me learn that, it's only me who can do something to help no one but myself, working out teaches me to own my thing to get results. There are always times when I don't feel like going to the gym and working out but I push myself, get out of my comfort zone and make myself work. This process is very tiring mentally. Pushing myself in this manner helps me in other areas too, like when i am working at my job, i push myself to learn more and be disciplined, I yearn for betterment in every aspect. I plan to use my passion of fitness to change my community for people to be healthy. Health and fitness are both good for the success in life and it will also good for making the lifestyle better. With body fitness you can easily maintain your body lifestyle. BY the proper fitness and health of the body will help you in making your body a perfect shape. It is good for your successful life. This is best way to stay active and energetic, so that you can work more than your colleagues and stay ahead of them at your office.Fitness teaches us about our body and how it moves along with giving us the knowledge we need to maintain a healthy lifestyle as we get older. physical education is a modern and comprehensive concept which provide me with opportunities for people to transfer learning from one sub-discipline to another to develop complete discipline to ensure all round development of the student's personality. It is not only limited to physical education, games and sports but it is a complete discipline which can change complete lifestyle process and personality. taking physical education and training seriously, is a simple step forward that can lead to better overall health, mental wellness, and potential new drives to satisfy one’s curiosity. The level of activity and interest depends on many factors and has a positive feedback loop for improvement or detriment. Whether or not standardization is important is unclear (at least to me) - though I’m usually in favor of standardization for more meaningful comparisons between different geo-political and socio-economic areas

Playing video games can be a way in which certain skills can be improved. For example reflexes, insight, logic. But this does not count for everything or everyone. Certain people will respond better to this than others and if the potential isn’t there, it won’t magically appear either. One of the most significant benefits I have enjoyed as a result of playing with video games would be that the positive effect that it has had in my driving skills. I have avoided countless accidents because of the ability and whistles that I have gained from playing games. I am able to stay calm when I am driving on icy roads and start to slip. A lot of men and women understand you are designed to steer into the slide, yet many people panic and shed control of the automobile. After handling skids therefore many times while playing driving games, it's easy for me to fast and safely regain control of your own motor vehicle. Skills develop by using them. Practice is a way to do this. Just like with physical muscles you practice in the gym with specific exercises. If you do it once a week, not much progress will be gained, but practice several times a week and you can gain significant progress. Certain mental skills, like I already mentioned, can be practiced with certain games. The fact that you enjoy playing those games makes it so you practice often enough to further develop this skill. So likewise, playing one time a week won’t develop the skill much, but for example daily practice will. As for making you smarter, I don’t know. Depends on how you define smarts. If it’s about making logical connections, making strategic decisions and such, I would argue that playing certain games like (challenging) puzzles and strategy games might help develop that skill. Or learning a language for example. Most of my English was learned by playing games, since there’s few games to play in my native language. I also have a preference for RPGs, so I play story-rich games on an almost daily basis. This is definitely one of the reasons why my level of English is a lot higher than most of my countrymen’s. Though again, it’s only good for improving what is already there. Without a certain level of knowledge to start from, it won’t be possible. Well, maybe not impossible, but it will be a much higher bar to cross if you have to figure everything out from scratch without even a basic understanding of grammar and vocabulary. There are many more advantages to be gained from playing games on the web with other people. Team based games can boost your teamwork and communication capabilities, as these are the vital ingredients needed in case a team will win.

One of the biggest goals I have is to make more friends and become more social. I’m not too much of a social person after school. I don’t like to hang out with friends or anything. I want to change that. I want to start to be more comfortable with hanging out with friends. Another goal is to expand my knowledge. I want to expand it on a variety of things. How to be a better reader, be better in my classes and get good grades. I feel that this will be good for my future. I want to learn a lot about more about my healthy and sciences major because it is very hard but the careers, I am looking for are through health and science. physical therapist, doctor, nurse, and physician. My main goal in life is to help people and that is why I choose to major in health and science. These are my goals for college, and I hope that I’ll be able to accomplish all of them. I feel if I do, it will make my life much better. one of the biggest personal challenges that I have face is heart break when my father died. I had read that whether you break a bone, or you break a heart the pain is equal. The pain of broken heart, that sense of loss goes on and on. Sometimes I felt like I will never get over it and I will one day stop breathing and die. When my father died, my world and dreams came crashing down and I was so alone and broken. But the good news is no one dies from heartbreak. Its just a matter of time that you will heal and get on with the life. Well, I had few ways to get over this challenge. I started laying down strong boundaries and foundations within me. From people pleaser i became my own knight in shining armor. I stopped being emotionally clingy, learnt to say NO and started listening to my gut. I started standing for my pride and self respect. I stopped worrying about future. I stopped dwelling in past. I started living in present moment now. I believed in fact, that “Whatever happens eventually happens for good”. I became stronger, wiser. I started showing more gratitude and practiced forgiveness. As they say that “Holding on to anger and revenge is like drinking poison yourself”and hoping you will stay fine. The only thing I learnt from experience is that i am a warrior. I became fearless and started pursuing things that sets my soul on fire. Rather than being a coward and retreating into shell, I decided to go all out. I wasn’t scared to get hurt again. I was scared that i would never be able to live. I started loving myself, started working out, started eating healthy. Miracles happen and I believed in them. and will continue to chase my dreams no matter what !!Heartbreaks make me not break me.

I am looking for a Physical Therapist career path. I want to become a physical therapist because I want to enter a noble and respected profession that will allow me to go home after a shift knowing that I have made a difference to someone's life. That difference may be something big, like saving a life or it may be something smaller like relieving somebody's pain. I have always been interested in the human body, how it works, what can go wrong with it and how it can be fixed, so for me becoming a physical therapist isn't a future job, it's a calling. I like seeing people happy. I like Letting my friends know that I’m there if they are sad. I’ll talk to you and figure out the best solution to their problem. Being a therapist is the most rewarding career, because of the ability to be there when someone needs you the most. And then you have the ability to teach them independence, and finally discharge them when they are ready to be on their own. I want to be a person who helps others to improve their lives, be able to make someone else the most important person in the world for the time I am are caring for them. I choose to major in health and sciences. Studying Health science in one of the most interesting things I ever feel, because it teaches us about life, especially how life grows. Health Science is something that every curious person wants to opt, because they have the curiosity to know more about the life sciences. It teaches you lot regarding diseases, treatment, diagnosis, prevention, mode of action of disease and mode of action of a drug. vaccine development is also a part of Health science. My undergraduate degree in health sciences allows me to choose from a variety of jobs in the field not only in physical therapist. These professionals often act as bridges between patients and physicians interacting directly with patients to carry out the physicians' recommendations, including prescriptions for medical tests and boy fluid analysis. There is a growing demand for physician assistants and lab technicians. Salary in Health Sector is very good, a little bit hectic work, but if you love your work, you won’t feel any problem with it. Those who work in the field enjoy the human aspects of the job. I know many benefits of working as a health sciences professional is also one of the most rewarding aspects of the job: caring for patients directly. Therefore, I choose this career path because I have a natural motivation for helping people. Working in the field state will make me feel a high sense of accomplishment. Health

I have a few dream ideas for giving back to the community. After I graduate with my bachelors degree in kinesiologist, I want to give back to my community by Finding a good match between my skills, abilities, good fortune, and what the community needs. I will join different groups, churches, send and money. I will find a local community carbon fund, walk into a hospital or hospice or any community driven or nonprofit and ask if they need volunteers. I want to grow from the experience and open up new opportunities and lifelong abilities for other in the future. Not too long ago, I jumpstarted my fitness journey. I finally realized that I wasn’t giving my all to God if I wasn’t taking care of what he gave me. I started my fitness journey in 2020 when everything was shut down due to Covid and ever since, I have been consistently going in the gym. After year of struggling with how I looked and treated my self, I decided that it was time to make a change when everything was shutdown. I finally was ready to be determined and disciplined to get my body healthy, stronger, muscular, and faster because I am an athlete. Since then I have been working out each morning. Even when school started, I started waking up even earlier at 5am to get in workout because fitness became part of me after the first year. I started posting on my Instagram story, as well as my close friends list on Instagram. Posting, fun fitness pics, workouts, provoking questions to help people jump start their journey. I am thankful so much to the people so far who has been so supportive of me and my journey. I am a words of affirmation kinds of person, so all of the encouragement they gave me truly means so much to me! Recently I was put in sort of a setback. Because of the injuries from soccer and didn’t take care of myself as well as I should in my eating habits. I was working out, but didn’t fuel my body very well. Now, usually that would set me in a lazy spiral, but NO! That was the old me! Two month ago, I got back to my early morning routine and went to the gym, and have eating things to fuel my body, not to satisfy a pleasure! I’m saying all this as an encouragement that anyone can do it, I tell answer my direct messages on instagram to my followers “don’t start tomorrow, don’t start in the new year, and don’t start the next coming Monday, but START TODAY!” Excuses are just empty promises! With as much as doing thirty jumping jacks, or finally getting the courage to get that gym membership doing something counts! When I made going to the gym a PRIORITY and a habit, I got into a routine I don’t want to break unless I’m forced to (like an injury) Besides asking God to be my savior for life, this one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life! I feel more productive, and overall happier with my life than I ever have. In the future, I would Love to encourage others and make them take the same steps I did while I go the distance to living a healthy lifestyle with people in my community.

My father died at age of 55 in 2019 due to liver failure because he was an alcoholic. I didn’t want him in my life and I wanted to get faraway from him because of the things he did. But as long as I know, he was not drinking before he was married to my mom. I asked my mom whether she knows that he drinks when she married him. Never got a proper answer for that. He used drinks 24/7. He wasn't drinking this much, when I was born. He had business. He had money. He was an alcoholic then also. But he used to drink only at nights. I don't know what's the reason for his drinking habit. My mom tells me that he doesn't want anyone to be happy or successful than him. Even his wife or own sons. He never likes it. He always watched everything we do/have. Then he will drink at night and fight saying we are all being happy. He would drink and abuse physically and emotionally. Growing up under the same roof with my father, I never had a peaceful day. Never had any friends to my home. Neighbors will watch your life as some tv show. They will never allow their kids to play with you as if you are the one who drinks. I have an elder sister but she lived in boarding school so she didn't get to know all of his insane behavior. But after she came, she once said that she was frightened by the amount of violence and vulgar language. I was pretty much used to that at that point. Then the fight continued. So was the beatings. It became worse when I started growing up. My sister moved out of our house for a work. I was left alone with my brother again in that horrible life. We never had any stable relatives. He fought with every single of them to the point they stopped coming to our houses. He became extremely jealousy because my sister started earning. He started drinking 24/7, stopped working and lost his business, his vehicle and all his belongings. I couldn't tolerate him beating my mom so I stood up against him. He started beating me also. Never felt safe in my house. Always I was on alert. He provided me food and the things I wanted in my childhood even when he was bad to my mom. So I can't even hate him without feeling guilty. Because he was nice once. One of the greatest fear I still have since childhood is returning home after school and see that my mom is beaten to death by him. I have a very clear memory of when I was around 5, he was screaming at my mother, back then it would go beyond just verbal abuse. She had taken my sister and younger brother hide in the bathroom and I was just a bit too slow to get away, my father picked me up and I was crying, trying to get away from him as he was scaring me, I pulled on his beard and he got so furious with me he threw me down on the ground, my mother managed to pull me into the bathroom away from him. At the end of the day he wasted his life and damaged me. No I don't forgive him and I'm trying to forget him but one thing I learned well was to be the opposite of my father and that was a real life lesson.

    Bold Creativity Scholarship
Creativity for me is to believe that always exist different options and ways of doing things even if we don't see them. In my day to day life there are a lot of routines, however, I often forget to use creativity if I don't need it. On the other side, when I remember I always find opportunities to think how to improve things. In my day to day life I use creativity to re-do my plans, priorities things, incorporate new things to do or catch up, etc. Creativity helps my to organize and generate ways of improving my timetable and activities in different areas of my life. The time I get most creative is when I am drawing. I don’t think about anything but concentrate on what I am doing and think of something before another person around the world thinks the same thing. Like me, whenever I am in art class I think of something and then I wait for the right time to put it down, I wasted that time because someone else already put it down and I just wonder there and think of something no one has.And that’s my Original Creativity. Creativity is much like genius. A creative person can look at something that everyone else has already looked at in a way that no one else has ever looked at it before. Regular people see what is. Creative people see what can be.

To me, my mother is indeed a hero. I was nine when my mom left my father. It was an abusive relationship. One that didn't end with my mom. My little brother and I both faced the wrath of my father's out of control temper on more than one occasion. He took my brother and left me and my big half sister to my mom. My mom had a part time job at the local grocery store and was no where near what she needed to support the three of us. He refused to help us despite the fact he made four times more than mom. She kept a roof over our heads, food to eat, warmth and even clothes to wear no matter how awful they were. I learned by her example. She had a few bad relationships including my father and together we got through them. Because of the few bad relationships I learned fairly quickly that my first marriage was abusive. The things I felt she did right as a mom I chose to incorporate into my own parenting style. This is why I can honestly say that my mom is a hero to me. She loves me without hesitation, reason or condition as I love her in return and pray my for my future children to love me. I want to contribute to the betterment of my society to make the world better place. Being awarded this scholarship will an investment in my future . We grow rich by letting money work us. We learn this only by knowing how money works. Unfortunately the sad truth in the current scenario is that most people don’t have any idea how to handle money, as I see so many people around me who live from paycheck to paycheck. Such people are often in debt, often short of money, are always cribbing about the lack of money in their lives, and will continue to live their lives like this forever. It’s a vicious cycle that can be broken if you sit down and understand your financial health, make financial goals for the future, and then start saving for them. If not done, you will continue to earn and spend on a month-by-month basis, not saving anything for the future. In such a scenario, you may have money to spend, but all you need is 1 month to go berserk and you will fall into trouble. You will have to work all your life to support yourself and your family. Financial literacy is understanding and effectively use of budgeting, managing and investing. Financial Literacy is important for every so that person can manage their expenses in their lives. Accordingly, financial education provides you with the basic life skills to build a secure financial future. I try to serve the needs of those who need me the most. At my church, I worked as caregiver for a man who has spent his life confined to a wheelchair. I advocate for the vulnerable users of the roadways - pedestrians, skaters, cyclists, and wheelchair users. I have worked with homeless people and the mentally ill and I gave my experience about mental health and how I overcame it because of the injuries from sports and my father passing in 2019 living me with a single mom. I try to be kind to people. I Personally help those who are less fortunate or who needs help. By help, I don’t mean just giving money. Throwing money at a problem can't touch a person at their soul, and it doesn't help us either. Maybe all a well off person needs is a touch or a hug or some encouraging words, whereas a homeless person's needs may be more substantial, but in the end we are all human. I try to Help both. Rich or poor. Day by day, I work toward maintaining friendly surroundings by greeting the people I pass, engaging in conversation, and exhibiting compassion. I smile a lot and laugh easily.
Ethel Hayes Destigmatization of Mental Health Scholarship
Experiencing mental health issues after the loss of a loved one is very difficult to deal with, and you are entitled to experience whatever you are feeling. After I lost my father in 2019, I went through depression, anger, pain, and low self esteem. I had to face those things on my own because my mother couldn’t afford therapy sessions for me for she makes less money. And I couldn’t talk to her bc she was always at work. They say the passage of time heals all wounds but my father passing it was a deeper cut, deeper wound and it took me three years to become whole again. Time helped me a lot , as I adjust my thoughts and feelings about the grieving process, and I become accepting to the fact that my father has died that no matter how many prayers, candles, and tears I shaded, it was not going to bring him back. I Trusting others again was one of the challenges I faced after circumstances that surrounded me after the loss of my beloved father. one to set in and changed the way I saw others. In that period of time, only few friends and family consistently checked on how I was doing but they didn’t really want to know the answer so I always said I was just fine. Being unable to trust again caused me fear which can severely deepen unless I accept what has happened and that it is very unlikely that it will happen again. I only have one parent left and every time before she lives the house to work, I tell her I love her because when my dad died, I never said those three words to him in my life. I refused to allow fear to drive my life. As time passed, so did the emotions that I was holding on to. My anger and resentment lessened and the prominent thoughts I have to live with forever. Holding on to hate and resentment only strengthened my current beliefs about others through my loss. No two people are the same and their actions should not be seen as ongoing threats. My thoughts and imagination told me that I can't see others clearly if I am living through the eyes of my father. My thoughts and feelings about others prior to the loss of my father Did not serve you well. Trust is necessary and it is earned. I did not allow others to show me that they were not the ones that caused my loss. Fear has its place and it acts as a alarm that tells us that something is not quite right. I allowed fear to become so ingrained in my daily life that I was no longer have a life of happiness but sadness in those 2 years. I Learned to trust others through my experiences with them. I realize that Living in fear will only create more problems and hardships for myself and i to Trust that my father would never want what happened to harden me and that he will always want only the best for me. I found my way and I became the best me can be. It didn’t mean i have to ever forget about about my father, but that due to his loss, i strive to live a better life for the both of him and I. I started being kind to myself and set my goals on having a great life. I didn’t think I will ever be be able to let go of the fear, but I was able to without seeking out professional help but the passage of time because it heals all wounds.

    Hasanovic American Dream Scholarship
The American Dream is a reality, but it isn't limited to America any more. To me, the basic definition of the American Dream is that anyone who is willing to work hard can gradually improve their lives financially and socially. At one time in history, this might not be possible in other countries because of hard divisions of class, which would be hereditary. Anyone creative enough to start their own successful business can make enough money to improve their lives. It doesn't just happen in America any more. a person would not know what “The American Dream” is unless they have experienced poverty. Living a life of poorness is not easy. It is very difficult to live a life always needing the very basics of life. When I was a refugee in Congo, my family and I didn’t have a place to live for we were always on the run for our life. A person needs a place to live, we refugee to Uganda but or but my family had little privacy in our refugee camp because it is all that we can afford. I remember sleeping in one room on mattresses laying on the floor, and some nights the camp was hot and my mother just pitched a tent outside just to make some more room for me and my siblings so we can have air. Some days there was not enough food for everyone in the camp and we ate only once a day. I remember my mother going to bed on an empty stomach . An empty stomach physically hurts a person. In the camp, we did not have running water. We had to go to the river to bathe, and having to use an outhouse or dig a cat hole as our restroom. The American Dream is a phrase some people use when they reach a certain status of living, and or when they reach a certain financial goal. A person once told me that the more wealth you build, the more options life will provide you. It is a true statement. My history teacher once told me, “A dream without a goal is but a fantasy.” I guess if I am to define what The American Dream means to me, it would be exactly that; “A Dream Without A Goal Is But A Fantasy.” This scholarship will help me further my education. Education will enable me to pursue my fitness passion to change the world. Most people simply fail to acknowledge the benefits that come with staying healthy. I always want that I should look stylish whenever needed so. For this, the right choice of clothes is always important. The choice of the right clothes that go with my body, tone these all things are very important for each of us. Also, the main thing is what goes for others is not necessary and it will also go for you. It varies from person to person so keep in mind that too. There are so many 'best' designers around the world, based on their specialty but my personal favorite designer is Calvin Klein. Hands down, is a good, no great, fashion designer. His brand’s clothes are modern, fit impeccably, and make anyone look great. I have a red Calvin Klein wool winter coat that, whenever I wear it, I get compliments. Who wouldn’t love that? Fashion is a way of self-expression. You can either choose to play with it or let others decide what your outfit tells about you. Something that inspired Me to love fashion is self-expression, fashion is a mean of self-empowerment and confidence. My clothes would change something within me. Sometimes I will feel more comfortable, confident with myself because I am wearing a specific pair of shoes or an outfit. Go on shopping to find new outfits is to me self-care time and I can pampered myself. I feel very satisfied whenever I wear something I truly like, I feel good in it and it helps me to build my confidence and my self-esteem. The best in fashion for me: I am who I am, I show to the world who I am and I feel more confident about it. Fashion is a creative outlet for me since it helps me to express my personality and sense of style. It's also a method to meet new people and form new relationships. I enjoy going shopping and putting on different outfits, as well as receiving compliments from both friends and strangers. Fashion is one of my favourite ways of expressing myself, and it's essential to me because it helps me feel good about myself. When I hear about Fashion, what first comes to my mind is the culture of a particular place and the traditions they carry forward. Whatever we wear that has meaning always. It tells which part of the country you are living in or country you refers it. It is the representation of people culture and tradition. Fashion is important for personality building, culture and tradition. In conclusion, Fashion designing is among the foremost attractive, alluring, rewarding, and exciting professions in today’s world. A career in fashion designing is a perfect fit for me because I got a passion for imagination, creativity, style, and individuality. On one hand, the style industry satisfies both creative fancies and the materialistic needs of the people. On the other hand, it also promises success and a high pay package to talented people.

My best skill is listening to others. True listening means focusing solely on what the other person is saying. It’s about understanding, not rebuttal or input. Learning how to suspend judgment and focus on understanding the other person’s input is one of the most important skills you can develop. Everyone one of us love to feel like we’re loved. My way of showing love to others is listening to them deeply. Listening to someone and not just trying to answer them shows that you care for them because you are listening to their feelings and you are understanding them. When my friends are talking to me, I tend to pay attention to them, breath, and look in their eyes. When I do that, I bring my energy and presence around and the person I talk to, they are able to feel me as a person with patience and understanding. Being a good listener requires patience and in many cases empathy towards others. So coming to the advantages of being one, it showcases my maturity in not trying to only getting myself heard.

The most difficult obstacle that I had/am still working on over coming is knowing that I matter as a person. All of my life experiences have pointed me in the direction of self-love. I'm not too sure why people think it is okay to bully others who are different than then, but that's just how it is. Instead of claiming victimhood status, I decided that despite having adversaries, I would learn to love and accept myself for whom I am. Now that I am older, I still get bullied from time to time, but my mindset has gotten much better to where I don't at all think that I deserve to be treated poorly, or have to take anyone's criticism . I'm by no means a perfect person, but that doesn't mean I can't strive for the betterment of myself.

Math is the language of the universe. The world is comprised of numbers. Without the numbers, the world is nil . Every day in every way, math is applied to start from cook to scientists. Curious minds have been solving humanity’s biggest conundrums for centuries by using the power of math. Mathematics is an essential component of human logic and thought, and an essential attempt to comprehend the world and ourselves. It is a great approach to develop mental discipline while encouraging logical reasoning and mental rigour on the other hand. Furthermore, understanding the topics of many educational courses such as science, social studies, and even music and art is dependent on mathematical knowledge. Math students learn to look for patterns and reason logically. These abilities can be used for any job as well. Employers understand that not every employee will have subject matter expertise, but they do want workers to be critical thinkers who can learn rapidly. These are the skills that math education develops among kids. Maths is nothing but a beautiful tool to help you solve problems of all arenas of life, be it Physics, Chemistry, Economics etc. Maths make you logical, analytical etc. This helps you use basic level logical skills in your business or job Math is very essential because even if you don't’ want to study higher and wanna do a job a business . Math would be waiting for you there. So it’s essential. Mathematics is a particularly enjoyable occupation, the higher you get the better it becomes, as it becomes more influenced by intuition and constructing convincing proofs and less on boring root learning. The study of mathematics is a brilliant way to discover the world of mathematical reality. Mathematics is like a ball of string in which all valid proof are linked to each other, directly or indirectly. Mathematics is a big subject as old mathematics never die, only old mathematicians. I believe so. You can lead quite a functional life having only basic arithmetic skills, but mathematics is a powerful means of abstracting patterns and information from the world around us, and I wouldn't skimp out on harnessing such power given the opportunity. From a more practical standpoint, our world is becoming increasingly computationally-driven, and if just to keep your options open - regardless of an eventual direct application of your skills- I would still choose to learn math. Of course you can eat, sleep and breathe without knowing math, but it could help you better afford to do those things down the road.

When I was a high school junior , I knew I wanted to run my own business. I didn’t want to work for anyone. I also knew that I did not have the skill set to be successful at that time. I wanted to find a career that would help me learn what I needed to know so I could be successful at running a business after I graduated high school because I wanted to start my own business. . It was then about thinking and making the right decisions inside that career based on what would benefit me the most when I ran my own business after my education. For me, I am almost completed with my senior year of high school. I am planning on going to college. Four years. I have been accepted into University of Tulsa in Oklahoma so it looks like I’m moving out of state. I am going to study electrical engineering or sports medicine and business. I was planning on not going to college and start my own business after my graduation but I talk to my college advisor and it was as bad idea. He told me what could go wrong if i didn’t get the bachelor degree. And I came to my senses that I have to go to college and Learn more about business if that’s what I wanted to do. While some people will say that if you want to be a entrepreneur that you should never take a job working for someone else, I don’t believe this is true. I think sometimes it’s smart to work for someone else so you can learn how to be successful. Stem and entrepreneurship propels me forward. My passion gives them the courage I need, to leave my comfort zones when required. passion for stem and entrepreneurship is like a magnet, and because of that, I will attract the people and resources for my business to Absolutely, but if I am understanding you correctly the person (maybe you?) is interested in starting something that will be a legacy but has not particular desire for what it should be or care what it is. In a sense this could be a good thing and a bad thing. If you are particularly passionate about only certain things then to attempt to build a legacy around something you don't care about could potentially be an uphill battle.
    Hobbies Matter
I have a lot of favorite hobbies but My top one is weightlifting. I started lifting weightlifting in my sophomore year of high school during the pandemic outbreak in 2019. The gym and my workouts are/is my mental spiritual and physical release. It’s my church my meditation and my therapist. My brain shuts off my problems dissipate and I feel at peace and I guess in control of something in an unpredictable and sometimes uncontrollable world. Lifting weights is more mental than anything. For me it gives me mental clarity. The gym is my place where I can go and clear my thoughts and emotions. If I’m angry, sad, upset, or just overall having a bad day, a good weight lifting session always makes me feel better. Second thing I love is the challenge. There’s nothing more rewarding than lifting for months and seeing yourself progress and get stronger. Once you see those numbers go up and start to feel stronger you are hooked. Especially once people start to notice and compliment you, that’s how you know what you’re doing is working. Lastly I just genuinely enjoy going to the gym. I find it fun. I go with a gym buddy and have met other friends in the gym over time. It almost feels like a hang out every time I go there. It’s great. Those are the things that are going to motivate you to go to the gym consistently. Find your reason why you go there. Not superficial reasons like “I want to put on muscle to pick up girls.” Anyways going off topic now. Those are the reasons I love lifting weights.

I want to contribute happiness, even in the form of a smile. I want to make people’s lives better. I want to bring open mindedness and education to people who are open to it. I also want to receive these same things, not necessarily in return, but in general. Another impact I’ll like to live on this word is I want people to take what they can get from me, and I want to take what I can get from those who are maybe even subconsciously offering. I would like to contribute hope and understanding towards others. We all have moments where life doesn't really seem to offer much hope. There's always something there to knock you down but always a reason to get back up. Compassion and understanding others adds a positive note to life and we all could use a lot of that. Trying to keep a open mind because there's so much in life that people miss out on when they choose to ignore or not see. Diversity is good withbout diversity the world would be grey and boring the effects of positive thinking and understanding towards others are as golden as are. The rewards.

I daily show kindness, love, compassion and understanding to people - because I was hated, misunderstood and shunned. I volunteer to help feed people - as I was homeless as a refugee and I was hungry. I volunteer to help those suffering from depression- as I am a depression in recovery I lost my father two years ago and it’s been hard to process. I offer fitness sessions- as I am very passionate about fitness and I want it to be my major in college. I will leave this world not with a monument, but with the impact of love, kindness, compassion, understanding - and a smile. I need nothing more. Empowering others to understand themselves better so they can accept themselves as they are, harness and build on their strengths and have flexibility to move away from unhelpful patterns of behaviors. This is what I hope my legacy will be - making a small difference in good for at least one soul if not for more.
Robert Lee, Sr. and Bernice Williams Memorial Scholarship
I try to serve the needs of those who need me the most. I volunteer as a caregiver at my church for a man who has spent his life confined to a wheelchair. I advocate for the vulnerable users of the roadways - pedestrians, skaters, cyclists, and wheelchair users. I have donated my change to homeless people and sometimes I buy them pizza because you never know. this could b be me and ill appreciate the help. Day by day, I work toward maintaining friendly surroundings by greeting the people I pass, engaging in conversation, and exhibiting compassion. I smile a lot and laugh easily. One of my goals is to address crime in my community. I want to address crime in my community because I have lost friends due to gun violence. Watch and report all suspicious behavior. I am willing to actually testify against criminals. The number one reason my neighborhood fall into crime are when the good and honest people turn a blind eye to what’s going on. If I can’t be bothered to testify against a criminal, I give them the power to run my neighborhood any way they want. If it’s already gotten bad. I always have a cell phone with me, always ready to take pictures or record video of crimes in progress. The best way to address crime is I to fight crime is better parenting. Children will act in a manner that is acceptable by the adults around them. If the parents teach their kids right from wrong and that they are accountable for their actions, along with being given the tools that are needed to deal with conflict and adversity, we children will grow up to be decent members of society. Of course, there will always be problems in any society. A child can have the best parents in the world and still go bad, but the majority wouldn’t. If us kids are taught to act responsibly, chances are we will act responsibly. It is not the only solution to fighting crime, but I think it would be a huge step in the right direction. As a member of the Church I have had a myriad of opportunities to serve and I can say I have had the best times with groups of great people all pulling together. It is a most unselfish, fun, rewarding experience. Those who do not volunteer their time are missing out. This will conclude my essay, thank you.
    Bold Confidence Matters Scholarship
In my own words, Confidence is the ability to believe in oneself. I developed confidence by actively working on myself daily. I can tell you from personal experience that I've suffered from self-esteem in the past. I've found that working on my self actively has been beneficial to me. Before I started working out in the gym, I was an insecure person, I didn't put myself out there in the world. I was afraid of meeting new people, I was afraid of people not liking me, and I was socially awkward and I thought that I was never good enough. when Covid came, I decided to start working out in the gym and over time, i gained confidence, I made new friends, and I feel good about myself. To me, confidence is the ability to trust my decisions, choices, judgement about anything or anyone, opinions, and qualities. confidence is about being sure of oneself. How you can develop this is by learning to take life easy and knowing that whatever you decide, think, or do, is right or will end in the right way eventually. Experience is the best teacher. I started by taking baby steps and kept an open mind to making mistakes along the way. No one is perfect, and we all make mistakes. This will conclude my essay, thank you

Diversity is truly the core to a successful organization. Here’s why: The meaning of diversity is people from different backgrounds working together. When you bring together people from different background, each one of them will tackle the same problem in a different way based on their upbringing, education, social experiences and network. So now instead of having one solution to a problem, you will have 5 solutions and right there is why your organization will come up with a successful idea. The other amazing beauty about diversity is the personal and professional growth experience. I personally love surrounding myself with different people because I learn so much from them and that to me enjoyable and exciting! Diversity is what makes our world an amazing place to live in. Diversity enables society to survive and thrive and there is greater interdependency and cohesion with diversity. Diversity is a good thing because it exposes us to different cultures and different ways of thinking. It also helps to eliminate some of the stereotypes that we have about each other. Unfortunately too many of us tend to have our own personal social agendas and comfort level with people we feel are like us. It helps to give different perspectives to the same thing. How 20 persons react to a particular thing is totally different from how one person does. With diversity, we are able to see others point of view which is good I think. About myself, I lived in Uganda as a refugee for over a decade. At 8 years old, I became a refugee. First thing I realized after becoming a refugee is i stick to my kind of people that is refugees from my country because people outside of my community looked down on people of my kind. When I traveled outside of refugee camp, I felt vulnerable because if something bad happens to me there will be no protection. There was a time my friends and I went to play soccer in the streets, there was a group of people fetching water. Anyways, thanks to United Nations organization, my family and I settled in US a well developed country and we are so grateful to this country for giving us chance to rebuild our lives. Education help me to learn how to learn. It opens my mind to different ways of knowing, which helps in problem-solving effectively through life’s problems, and thinking critically about life and the world. Education will help to provide me with meaning full choices, expose me to things I would normally not be exposed to, meet people from different walks of life who have incredible stories to share. Education is a wonderful thing. Winning this scholarship will be an act of kindness and I will appreciate it. I know there is others that deserve this scholarship because everyone has an incredible story to tell but if I win, I will be grateful. Thank you.

I lost my father when I was 15 years old. It was my sophomore year of high school. it was the first time losing someone to death and it was my father. His death was pretty hard. His death came at a really bad time. I was dealing with mental health issues. I had a really bad injury from playing soccer and I was depressed at that time. Then my father died and things got from bad to worse. My advice is to cry. A lot. Just let it all out. I cried everyday day. It seems that we have to cry a finite number of tears so you can get them out quickly or you can try to prevent it and have them come anyway. Mourning was like having someone screaming in your ear all the time. That screaming voice doesn't go away, but it does become more distant. They say "time heals all wounds." They are right. They say the passage of time will heal all wounds, but the greater the loss, the deeper the cut and the more difficult the process to become whole again. Losing my father is one of the great milestones to becoming an adult. Suddenly you’re a whole lot more mature and little social slights don't matter so much and petty drama shows itself for what it is. Little things won't phase you anymore. I suppose this is the silver lining of it all. Honestly, I think many of my peers won’t catch up to my maturity level until a certain age. It was hard not being able to ask them for advice, but I've gotten over that now. That need for advice changes over time. A friend of mine lost his father when he was about 6 year old. It was my coach actually. Later he told me that when his dad died he didn't miss him all that much, but once he had children of his own, he really wished he'd been able to ask his dad's advice. So as time passed and time moved along I got lost in distractions, I grew stronger, and before I knew it, the time passed.

Social Justice is important because it promotes and works toward a society that celebrates diversity and equality. Having more equality and diversity in a society is good for society because it promotes opportunity, growth and social well being. Societies that embrace diversity have more innovation, more peace and more prosperity. It also depends on what you call social justice. For some people social justice is only good if it goes their way. For other people social justice never happens. I really have never been able to figure out what social justice really is. I honestly believe that social justice is only important if the Justice goes a certain way for certain people. It's Injustice if it doesn't. If we just look at justice in itself, it is good. However, justice can quite easily be corrupted, and instead of using justice for good it can be used to persecute and oppress others. So, social justice is important in the sense that it is a double edged sword, which needs to be properly. When we are wronged we all want justice. It tends to be a common desire without borders. However what is just may not always be what it legal. Justice is not what you will receive when you experience time in court, Justice in it’s simplest concept is to correct a wrong, have another receive payback or experience what you did, feel what you did when you were “wronged” Rarely does this line up with what is legal, rarely indeed! Thus I can say, our very existence as a civilised society is dependent on justice. That can be seen as an importance. Thank you.

I want to change society to the better one day. I start to change myself to become and act the way I want society to be. An example would be if society isn't social or emotionally connected I would become a social person, and an emotionally connected person. I have to be the change I want to see in the world. That's something “ghandi” believed in which i believe is true. The second step to change a society is by talking, and connecting with people's hearts, and try to convince people that it's time to change, and listento each other, and learn from one another and all try to help each other to change society, and We can do that by not giving up in that dream, and showing people with kindness, and love that change to The better is possible if we believe. I want to say is that we should never give up in trying to make the world a happy place. It's not impossible. We can change everything with just love, and understanding, and mercy and care. That's how God wants us to be. Many people where able to change society with love, and understanding. Like the prophet Mohammed , and Jesus, and people from our generations like Martin Luther king and many other good, and kind people that knew that connecting with hearts, and love, and understanding is the way God wants us to be, and the only way we can make the world a happy place. My talent is that i never become angry, and I think this is the best quality I have. I always let the other person speak whether it hurts me or not and then I explain my side very politely. My family members and especially my mom always say that I prove my self insolvent very politely and see its not like that i m showing off, it is literally my quality to control my anger. And i dont know from where I achieved this but I love this. You know what i think during that time, I think if anybody is hurt by me, I have to speak a simple and very powerfull word SORRY. See u will not become short by saying this and also your ethics will also become more good among others. I tell you a recent incident, I posted a little vulgur meme to my friend and his sister checked his phone then she typed me that what kind of stuff I am posting here. That time I felt very very guilty. I just said her sorry did this will not take place next time. I just apologized my mistake ( though it was not). She also for-granted me because of my behavior. And guys see this is the only thing you all should learn. See a single word can end a dispute that can become a large in future. So thats it Thank you.
    Bold Bucket List Scholarship
A bucket list is the list of things which you want to do before you die. My list is not only a bucket list but a list of strong desires as well. My number one list is to always be next to my my family, whatever be the circumstances. We are each other's support and I always want it to be like that. Family is always above all. My second thing on my bucket list is to exercise till the last breath of my life, if possible. The intensity will definitely reduce by age but at least I should be walking few kms daily, during my last years. I want to live longer and see my kids grow up and see my grand kids. In order for that to happen, I have to be healthy My third thing on my bucket list is to travel to Egypt, Jordan, Istanbul , Budapest, Amsterdam , Ireland , Norway, New Zealand and of course Russia my childhood dreams , worlds famous wonders and many more. But only when I'm finished with most of the places in my own beautiful country. Uganda. I haven’t been to Uganda since I was 11 years old. I came here to America as a refuge because of war. But now that things have come down, I would like to go visit and see my old friends and family. Last but not least, I want to try all kind of fun activities - sky diving, para sailing, scuba diving, bungee jumping and many more. This will conclude my essay, thank you.

Well one of the biggest personal challange that any human can feel is a heartbreak. Heartbreak due to love, loss, conceit , lies and betrayal. I had read that whether you break a bone or you break a heart the pain is equal. Well someone should have added that if you have physical pain you can take a medicine or shot and get relief for few hours. But the pain of broken heart , that sense of loss goes on and on… Sometimes you feel you will never get over it and you will one day stop breathing and die. Your world and dreams come crashing down and suddenly your world comes to stop. But the good news noone dies from heartbreak. Its just a matter of time that you will heal and get on with the life. Well I had few ways to get over this challenge. started laying down strong boundries and foundations within me. From people pleaser i became my own knight in shining armour. I stopped being emotionally clingy , learnt to say NO and started listening to my gut. I started standing for my pride and self respect . I stopped worrying about future. I stopped dwelling in past. I started living in present moment NOW. I believed in fact, that “Whatever happens eventually happens for good”. The only thing i learnt from a heartbreak experience is that i am a warrior. I became fearless and started pursuing things that sets my soul on fire.

When I see people getting respect and popularity, I too feel that being a good human being gives you respect and that respect, I believe, is the biggest happiness is life. Those are your memorable moments when people are ready to do anything for you because of your reputation. Just be cool. Never ever panic in case of difficult situations, or be angry. When you realize how beautiful life is, you start enjoying everything and care for everyone. This should motivate you in being a better human being. I am trying to control my anger, making myself more responsible (in every field) and developing more maturity. An invention that I would like to invent is a A clean power source which was unlimited. I'd give it away for free, it would change the world in so many positive ways there are too many to mention. The main two being; it would release the stranglehold oil companies have over so many aspects of our lives. The benefits to the environment would be hugely beneficial. it will keep our world clean. There will not be a dirty place as a result, We will prevent new pandemic diseases.

I started school when I was five years old in Africa. I hated school in Africa. I had to walk almost a mile every day in the morning with my mother escorting me to go study. School in Africa was strict. Teachers would beat me like I was a slave. One time a headmaster beat me bad that he put a scar on my face for failing a test. I was only 10 years old of age and that man the way he beat me was like I was a criminal. I carry that scar with me every day and it reminds me that what I have here in America, it is different than what I used to have in Africa. Here in America child abuse is crime. I’ve never been abused by a teacher. in Africa, I had thoughts of dropping out of school because of the abuse. But thank God who listen and answered my prayer, I got a shot to come to America where education is free, and the school system is excellent. I am a full-time high school senior preparing for graduation. In the fall of 2022, I am going to be living for college in Oklahoma at the university of TULSA. Sports management and physical therapy are my majors. Living in America has given me opportunity to become successful in life if continue with my education. I hope to live a long happy life, pursue my passions, and develop a great sense of discipline because being discipline, its like creating your own success. Another setback that I’ve came across was in my athletic career. I’m a 18 year old student athlete who is in pretty good shape. I lift weights 6 days per week in the morning before school starts, , bike, run, soccer and anything else, and try to stay physically active as much as possible, but until the last year I didn’t participate in any sports because I was injured. I grew up playing soccer but when I was in my junior year of Little League I sprained my ankle by the kid who was older than when he was 19 or 20, and while I got back onto the field the next game, after I got back from the hospital to make sure I hadn’t fractured my ankle , I was nervous and shy after that. I still run and play but It just wasn’t the same as I was before. So I got into weightlifting and I am going to college to learn health and wellness as my major and help people reach there fitness goals.

"The essence of the goals of my life" This ignites me to explore and Chase my dreams. A goal should be an integral part of our lives. Honestly, my favorite hobby is to listen to music and weightlifting. I love music since I was a child. I have to thank my father for introducing me to music and now I love to listen to music and workout at the same time. Why I enjoy it? Music has the ability to let me travel into a whole new world where I can forget about all my problems and difficulties. It is the best imaginary paradise I could ever think of. Music can literally control my emotions. I can listen to up beat songs that bring back my energy when I feel stressed. Or sometimes I can listen to slow songs and let my mind calm down. Or I can listen to a sad song and cry my sorrow out. Music is like my best friend, and lifting weights allows me to feel good about myself, and I can relax my emotions.

I was a state level wrestler in Pennsylvania, which is a big wrestling state, but I wasn’t going to get a scholarship and while I may have been able to walk on I just wanted to be a normal non-athlete college kid if no one was paying for my school. I kept working out and being active but I was out of organized sports in 1993.
    Bold Speak Your Mind Scholarship
I am 18 years old myself, and I would like to say that before you tell anyone anything you should first learn from someone else, someone of an equal standing. There are millions of people in the world and everyone has something to teach about life, even if you think you have thought of everything, even if you are advanced in many different studies, there is always still more to learn. You are still growing, and you can use this time to connect to the right people. Trust me when I say, with your intelligence, you will be able to know right away who has the knowing, the ability to hear what you have to say. Be observant and look into their eyes. Find people that are your equal, that may even be going through the same thing. There are many more people like that then you may think. Do not pretend to be someone else, as all this does is lessen your potential. It's a distraction. You can do it for pieces of time like a character in a play, but while doing this know that that is just a small piece of the puzzle. Each person has different sides to them, different thoughts and ideas. You aren't crazy, and even if you where, you would have enough knowledge to surpass that pattern. Everyone does, it's just we have the choice to see or to not see.

Pardon me because I will mainly talk about Uganda. I am from Uganda a small country in east Africa. I moved to USA when I was 11 years old. And I’m Africa, life is different over there. The education system, food, electricity, and the government system, it is different compare to here in America. In Uganda, education is not free. We are charged to pay school fees from primary to university. In my case, I used to miss days and weeks of school because my mother didn’t have enough money for my siblings and I to pay for our school fees. She was a single mother doing the job of two parents. As some one else have pointed out is mostly about education. Availability of education to the masses mainly. Because here, if you are rich enough, there are good schools that you can go to and get quality education. But in Uganda, there is a problem with this trend. The rich kids that can afford this schools already have a planned future weather they are brilliant or not and most of them end up in the political class (I think we can all agree that the political class add nothing “directly” to the economy) and brilliant student from the masses that will add something to the economy end up at underfunded federal universities, where most can even sit down for lecture. Here in America we get a shot at life. We have an opportunity to go to school were it’s free. I was poor when I was young. We did not receive welfare or food stamps so we were hungry. Never got a present for Christmas. Never celebrated a birthday party and never ate a birthday cake until age 11 and now I’m 18. So, you can see how poor I was. Much poorer than people on welfare. We buy cheap food to eat. 50 years ago chicken wings were very cheap because not many people eat chicken wings 50 years ago but now everybody is eating chicken wings. I go fishing when I was young to help feed the family. Lunch was free in school also so I always have something to eat. Being poor is part of my early life but after I came to America as a refuge I enrolled in school and now I am about to graduate with the class of 2022 and go to college called university of Tulsa in Oklahoma. I have a side job were I work. Save money for college and help my mom pay bills. Life is much better but one must study and work hard to move off poverty. Democrats are now giving people free stuffs and creating a lazy society where bad behaviors are rewarded. Good behaviors are punished. Poor is now actually good if you have many children. If single then big trouble. This is why poor people have more children knowing government will give you more support and money which create more poverty. This will conclude my essay, thank you.

At first I was in a mental health application just to vent and share quotes, sometimes talking to several people just to strengthen and support them. Sometimes I do it to take my mind off all the problems I have. Until one day I saw a post from the admin that offered that we could apply to be a volunteer in the app. Admin notifies the requirements. At that time I didn't have any thoughts and just filled out the form. I'm trying to forget about it because I think there will be a lot of people wanting to volunteer and since it's a mental health app there's bound to be a lot of people from all over the world wanting to try and I've never had any luck with anything. I forgot about it all until one day an email came in. They asked me to do a zoom meeting to prove that I'm not a scammer. What I didn't expect was that they chose me. There was training that I had to go through before I could be on the app and I was really happy when I was chosen to volunteer there. They chose based on our good track record in the app, then needed to show evidence of wanting to support and having a good level of natural empathy. Only 8 people were chosen and I was one of them. In my country I am nothing and just trash but being able to be there with selected people from other countries, honestly makes me proud of myself. At least I'm still useful to other people and someone else sees that I have something useful. I didn't think that what I was doing could help other people. Helping them is actually not only for them but also helping myself. Volunteering has been a good experience for me. Benefiting other people who may be in need of the basics. You always wish you could do even more for those less fortunate than yourself.

Hello, I am called Allan, and I am 18 years old. I workout, and fortunately, I coach fitness for passion as well. I love reading books. I like all kinds of them but my favorite ones are those that talk either of the lives of soldiers in wars or of certain big complicated familial issues. I love watching basketball. Not that I am a crazy fan but if I were to see it all day long, back to back, for a week, I would heartily stretch out, grab snacks and chill. When I go out I always look for Mexican and Chinese cuisines. Bless me, I am so HONEST”!!!!!!!

I have been depressed for some time now. It is excruciating at time and all consuming at other times. It has devoured a huge chunk of my athletic life. It has limited me. Chained me and decapitated me. I lost my father in my 10th grade year, the same year, I got injured I couldn’t play sports. Imagine living knowing that everything you're doing is futile and pointless. Imagine not wanting to talk to anyone but feeling excruciatingly alone when you don't. Imagine being holed up in your room for days and weeks. But the silver lining is that it’s been an amazing teacher. It’s taught me about myself. It’s taught me about life. It’s taught me the power of challenging the ‘script’ and it has reiterated the virtue of mobility. It's taught me to calm down. It's taught me to let things go. It's taught me to love. It's helped me to get to know myself better. And most importantly, it's taught me how to forgive myself. When you're depressed and you find it inconceivable that anything good can happen to you, you kinda accept that your life will be like this. You keep going over the events that led to this, and you cannot make peace with it. And you form a self fulfilling prophecy that dictates that you'll never be happy. After that you tend to self sabotage to make that prophecy true. One you're perceptive of this, you can realize and understand human psyche even better and you're better equipped to confront your demons. I am kinda engaged to this monster. I have to live with it. And if I do, I might as well make peace with it. Maybe I get to teach it a couple of tricks.
    Bold Love Yourself Scholarship
I like that I have always followed my heart. With everything I do. I had a dream and went after it, despite certain people telling me it was next to impossible. I like that I let my insides tell me what is the right thing to do. I understand that you have to use your head and be reasonable and practical (and I'm getting better at that) but I would never want to lose that part of me…my heart, my courage and especially my intuition. I also like the fact that I am very loyal. That saying ‘what you put out into the universe comes back to you ten fold' is actually really true. Of course I have had some ‘unwanted visitors’ but they did not stay long and each one taught me a valuable lesson. I like that I can have fun everywhere. Take me to a party where I don’t know anyone? I’ll make a lot of friends. Need a friend to come with you to work? I’ll entertain myself. Wanna go to the gym? I’ll get really into it. Take me to a convention I have no interest in? I’ll enjoy the experience. I really do make the most of everything and I like that about myself. I’m very in control of my emotions. In a fight, I never lose my temper or say anything I don’t mean. I’m never mean or try to hurt anyone. I don’t let others intimidate me. I’m always rational. It’s taken me far. In conclusion, last but not least I like that I like myself. I didn’t always. Life is a lot better when you appreciate what you are rather than focus on what you aren’t.

One thing I do to improve the lives of elderly people in my community by showing respect them. I look at them in the eyes and be kind to them. I give up my seat on public transportations to a senior citizen even when I’m tired and sore from practice and school. I hold doors when I see someone coming behind, ladies firs, my mother raised me to respect woman. And the most empathetic thing I do for the elder people is I offer all the little kindnesses people used to show to other people. The little things matter a lot to the elderly. Someday, i am going to be where they are. I teat seniors like i hope to be treated when i’m old and everyone will feel more joyful. Those who came before us are an important source of all that i am and a repository of the history of my family, informing you from whence you've all come. In conclusion, Senior citizens are one of the most important groups of people in our society. Their life experiences contain wisdom in discovering what they have found for themselves over the course of their entire life. Their wisdom should be cherished and appreciated. Their contributions to the society should be celebrated, for the present generation is ever indebted to them.

Because Science is cool, and you can help people. No. In fact, the more I learn about my field, the more I am enthralled by it. Don’t do it for the money, don’t do it for the titles, don’t do it for the prestige. Honestly though, it’s the fact that I really don’t like anything else. For me, it is STEM by default. I have found no other subject that I am really interested in pursuing a career in. I have been accepted into University of Tulsa in Oklahoma so it looks like I’m moving out of state. I am going to study electrical engineering or sports medicine and business. For example, I am a serial entrepreneur but have passed up potentially money making ideas simply because I wouldn't be having that passionate feeling about the idea. But....if you don't care what it is then you simply need to work on being ready and finding those opportunities and then grabbing them. You have a lot deeper selection pool to choose good ideas from then I would. The question is can you keep up your motivation if you pick something that is not that interesting? You always have to ask yourself that question. This will conclude my essay thank you.
    Bold Goals Scholarship
I have only one goal in life – to be happy! Sounds very simple, but it’s not. I think it’s the most difficult goal to achieve for anyone. When asked about goals in life, people generally talk about what they want to do in life like becoming a doctor, running a successful business, exploring new places, getting their dream job, etc. I see all these as short term aims, rather than a goal in life. What happens after a person achieves the “GOAL” of becoming a doctor? – look for a new goal? What happens once you become a successful business man? Does that leave you with a completed goal or rather with no future goal? Or does it leave you with a task of looking for a new goal? My perspective of goals in life is entirely different here. I have multiple aims that will help me to achieve my one and only goal – to be happy. Why did I choose this goal? Answer is simple. It is the only thing that matters to me. In the end, I want to look back and remember how happily I’ve lived my life and not how much money I made or how many degrees I hold or anything else! “Happiness does not depend on what you have or who you are. It solely relies on what you think.” - Buddha
    Bold Creativity Scholarship
“How can I be more creative?” 2 years ago, when I started writing I asked myself this very question. Being fairly analytical, and having hardly ever been typically “creative”, it was a question I struggled with. “Do you need to have a right brain to write better?” I thought to myself I don’t think I was very good the day I started, but what got me going was that it allowed me an expressive outlet. I have seen that most happy people tend to find this outlet in some way - sports, art, and music. It is a period of time when you’re 100% disconnected from the world. I may have initially started because it was an expressive outlet, but I made sure to keep it a habit. I have also tried to be very observant, about what I write and how other people write. “Would I like reading this?” is what I ask myself every time I write something At the beginning, I didn’t know why I would like something, and why I would not. Over time, because I kept writing, and observing - I learnt. The wonderful thing about writing online is that it gives you immediate feedback, and if you take cues - you can learn very fast. “Listen to what people are saying, even the negative comments” The thing I learnt is that people associate with real life events, and I tried to recollect times in my life when I wrote. I also decided to stick to what I know, creative juices can only flow when you’re in command of what you’re doing. As I begun to build on what I learnt, I realized it is a process that can be repeated and refined. It works, and gets better every time.
    Bold Community Activist Scholarship
I have brought about huge positive changes in my life. One change has taught me that the actions of others, society or community are not my business. Being judgmental is wrong. I believe in helping if asked. I hope everybody liked my answer. Thank you very very much.
    Law Family Single Parent Scholarship
It’s hard. There are pros and cons. On the con side, the buck stops with you. You are responsible for everything. On the pro side, there is no interference or conflict in the values with which you want to raise your child. It's important to build a support system so you have somewhere to leave your child in a crisis, because it's only you. Most parents develop play groups for their kids, with other parents, and build those connections from there. There’s no one else to take up the reins when you’ve had less than 8 hours sleep in a week! If you’re a first time parent it’s slightly easier, because you can sleep when the baby does. But throw a toddler into the mix and it’s so much harder. You’re exhausted, hormonal from the birth, emotional, constantly worried you’re doing things wrong, lonely, probably sad about your breakup and have a young baby to look after. If you’re sensible you let the housework slide and give yourself a break about the mess. I was lucky. I’d had a lot of experience with babies as I’m the oldest of 5. I had my mum living closeby so she’d come over and do some cleaning and let me sleep while she babysat. I don’t know how I would have coped without her help.

When I was a student of middle school, due to some incident, I wasn't able to complete my homework. It was a long one and the Monday morning, I told my mother that I was not able to even start my homework. My mother told me to try to finish it with the time I had before going to the school. To this I replied, it's too much to finish in such a small span of time. My mother told me not to think of anything else but start with it till it was time to leave for school. To my surprise, I was able to finish it before I expected. This one incident had a huge impact on my life and that made me realize the importance of “trying” and not giving up before the last minute. I always thank my mother for inculcating such strong values in her children. Life is a challenge and you only win when you are not afraid of losing. A little bit about myself, I am self motivated. I have a burning desire of challenging myself to advance to new levels in my chapters of my life. A successful life is what motivates me on daily basis. In Uganda were I am from, life is very difficult. There is war, hunger, corruption and hate. When I think Of the lifestyle I was living in in Africa, it motivates to hunt down my goals because here in America they have it different. I have an opportunity that the people outside of this country will kill to have and for that I am so grateful. I have a chance to become successful and help those who are in need of help. When I think of my family that I left in Africa, including my father who passed away in 2019, it pains me inside of my heart. But wisely, I use that pain for something great. That pain inside, I use it as an energy booster to get my work done in school and in athletics. That pain keeps me going and without that pain, I don’t think I would be here writing this essay. Each day I get up motivated and fired up ready to face for whatever that coming for me during the day. This will conclude my essay, thank you.
    Bold Be You Scholarship
I stay true to myself by acknowledging what I am feeling and not blaming yourself or another for that feeling. When you blame another or yourself it is a sign that you are not acknowledging the feeling but trying to either suppress it or change it. Let’s say you see someone riding a beautiful car and you feel jealous, the way to be honest is to acknowledge or observe that you are feeling jealous, that’s it. Any further analysis of the situation takes you further away from being honest. Similarly if someone called you a name and you feel angry or sad, acknowledge that you are angry or sad. Don’t say to yourself that you are not someone who gets angry and try to suppress the feeling or don’t say to yourself how dare that other person say that to you. Both these thoughts take you away from experiencing that feeling completely leaving it as an unprocessed impression, the key is train your mind to process that feeling completely before any reaction. Some times we are doing things so quickly that we don’t even notice that a feeling has risen, we go straight into suppression mode. A reaction is a an automatic/ unconscious response to an external trigger and is a sign that you are not being honest with yourself. The goal in training your mind to be honest is to be able to observe your response to a situation or feeling or emotion without judgement and not to react unconsciously.

set my goals based on something that is very important to me! I state goals positively. “I will study every night for two hours before doing other tasks” is more positive than “I won’t do other tasks in the evening before studying.” I try to be as specific as possible. In my head, I set a goal and that goal tells me what I will achieve. As a student athlete,I set my goals high enough to be challenging but reasonable enough to achieve. I write down my goal of the week in my book. In writing them down, I can keep them out where you can see to remind and motivate you. I mostly focus on my personal performance verses strictly outcomes. Outcomes can ultimately be affected by circumstances that are beyond control, but performance is all up to me. For example, a fitness goal to go to the gym five times per week is more productive than a goal to lose five pounds per week. “You can control your performance but not necessarily how quickly your body will react.” Some of the obstacles i am facing in my life right now is my mental health. I got injured playing soccer. I ran into another player and I almost fractured my knee. Panic attacks and anxiety are the worst experiences I have went through this year. Luckily, I am at the point in my life where is less frequent but I would remember the times I had panic attacks. In a class, at home, even at church. I had panic attacks nearly everyday. I kept asking my self if I am ever going to be able to play college soccer. I asked my self when the show cases came will I be able to impress college coaches. Even now in the process of recovery, I am still battling the feelings of anxiety and depression more so. I watch athletes who go through metal health as well. I listen to them and I know that I am not alone in this. I watch motivation videos on you tube which not only encourage me to stay strong, but also open up my eyes on how I’ve been suppressing the feelings and tell my self to get over it. Bold Meaning of Life Scholarship
To me, the meaning of life is to have fun, enjoy life while we’re at it, and to just be happy while building your future. Do stuff that you like, that will bring a smile to your face. So once you’re old or realize that you’re about to die, you can look back at your life with a smile because you lived a good life. Another meaning of life to me is to love, know, and serve God Who is infinitely good is the meaning of life. Our life here, though it is short, gives us an opportunity to give your heart to Him. Life is full of suffering. It truly is, and I’ve experienced it, whether physically or mentally. But, when I have suffered at my very, very worst, there was a beauty in the pain when I saw Christ. Before that experience, I did want to go to Heaven, but I didn’t have the yearning for it that I did after. Even if you don’t have the feeling of being close to God at the moment, that is a perfect opportunity to give yourself to him. It is a difficult thing to do, but if we want to experience eternal joy, well, this life is the gateway. And to enter Heaven through this gateway, we must worship and pray to Christ our Savior, Who is infinite in His mercy.
    Bold Gratitude Scholarship
The simple ritual I follow every morning and at night before going to sleep is “I say “Thank you” for everything This ritual helps me to create deep gratitude in my heart for everything. And once i started feeling deep gratitude, I start appreciating everything easily and positive thinking helps me more in this. Everything happens for the reason. Once we accept this deeply, we appreciate it easily. Sometimes we don’t appreciate what we have because we don’t know the difference. To us, our life is normal, it’s what we’ve grown up with, are surrounded by and it seems perfectly normal and hard to understand why we should appreciate it. Understanding what lack is, what broke is, what homelessness is, what sick is, can give you one perspective. I simply being grateful by looking at myself and seeing what I have - then i just imagine that everything is gone. What was acquired for me in my life came from hard work, from paying bills, from earning a living, clothes on my back, a phone work on. These didn’t come from nothing, these things in my life didn’t magically appear, but came from the efforts of the people who raised me. That alone i am grateful for.

    Bold Investing Scholarship
One of the best investment tips I can give is that when it comes to investing, simple is best. When you buy stock in a company, you’re buying shares – or, literally, a portion of the company. You’re a partner in the company. Would you become a partner in a business that you didn’t understand? What’s simple for one person might be complicated for someone else. Medical doctors might find pharmaceutical companies straightforward, but be puzzled by banks. Financial analysts might have the opposite perspective. People who invest in a company without understanding its underlying business open themselves up to a whole new type of risk. They’re not even able to understand how to tell whether or not the company is doing well. investing in something you understand means that at least you have an idea of what the business is and what success looks like.

I am a value. I know how it feels to be hurt by others. I Promised to never forget and promise to never hurt someone else because they are value too. I understand that everyone is doing their best. Sometimes, empathy hurts because we can feel what the other is feeling. However, the connection we create or respond to makes us happier. I help myself and others. Happiness is built on community and sharing and supporting each other. Empathy into action. I volunteer to listen to people. I ask if they would like input before offering your advice. Oftentimes, people do KNOW what to do but just need to make contact with someone else. We can be of support to each other. This creates joy! Helping people by helping them helps make me a happier person. I am determined to be happy despite the obstacles i may encounter. I do my human revolution. I Love and respect myself and strive to have mybhighest life condition at all times. In this way, when i put ideas and value-creating dreams into action, I will win over my own negativity. How? Nature is their biggest problem. We need to understand that ‘Wildlife’ is not accurately represented by cuddly Pandas but by Nature’s invisible army of pathogens which kills-off every hapless animal which miraculously manages to survive being killed by other animals. Nature’s way of doing things is pretty awful. Nature provides everything necessary for life, then capriciously directs everything possible to make sure everything has a horrible death. The Humans need to learn is that Nature isn’t the friend of anyone. Nature is the architect of lethal plagues and pandemics throughout time - not just for humans but for everything that lives. Covid-19 and the lockdowns should hopefully remind us that Nature is the principal cause of death in the world, killing-off about a million people every week plus billions of perfectly innocent, cuddly, and unseen animals.

In terms of food and diet, it is essential that we drink a lot of water and stay hydrated because that is a cure to most of the issues like unavoidable midnight hunger pangs, chapped lips, etc. Breakfast is an important meal. It is said that eat your breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like king. this is said because when you eat your breakfast, you ramp up your metabolism, which, in turn, supports healthy weight maintenance. Also, give importance to the greens that it will, in turn, ensure an increase in our iron levels and proper blood circulation too. “So go green”. In terms of lifestyle, include exercising for physical fitness and meditation for releasing mental stress. We should void using phones at late night hours as that will not only worsen your posture but also have an adverse effect on your nerves. Also, having proper sleep is important as after a hectic day that is what the body needs the most. Your surroundings and vibes and friends matter a lot when it comes to stress levels, so try to have a positive outlook for things. In conclusion, I think the best way to live a longer healthy life is by eating neat and clean Every day, do cardio exercise, and drink plenty of water
    Bold Acts of Service Scholarship
Every time we help others we get a shot of dopamine and that is what “real” happiness is all about. Plus, the person/people we help may be able to help us sometimes. I use my their gifts and strengths to help people of service to others. It is one of my main objectives in life. I listen to people deeply. Everyone one of us love to feel like we’re loved. My way of showing love to others is listening to them deeply. Listening to someone and not just trying to answer them shows that you care for them because you are listening to their feelings and you are understanding them. When my friends are talking to me, I tend to pay attention to them, I breath, and look in their eyes. When I do that, I bring my energy and presence around and the person I talk to, they are able to feel me as I am deeply listening to them. Another service is caring and by being honest and showing them that I sincerely appreciate having them in my life. I show them that I am interested in them and I look deeply in the enough to perceive something that is worthy a compliment. Giving compliments to my people is my way of showing how thankful i am to have them. This will conclude my essay, thank you.

    Bold Driven Scholarship
My goals are insurmountable. They seem almost impossible. They are distant compare to where I am today. The only way for me to achieve my goals that seem impossible is by breaking the goal into small steps. My goal is to be a soccer player in Europe. It is a clear goal. I put in the time everyday at the gym, give a 100% in trainings, and I believe in my self that I can make it happen. Knowing what I want in life and taking those little pieces of steps one at a time, it’s like magic. It makes me feel that I am closer to where I’m trying to get compare to where I started from. I remind myself that whenever I feel unmotivated. One of my Keys that has helped me see my goals is “progress”. When you have a big goal, you don’t know if you are getting anywhere closer. For example, losing weight. Losing weight is a process that takes a lot of time. In that process, you might feel like nothing is changing and you my lose motivation. It is important that you see where you started from, compare the person you were to the person that you are becoming. If you are truly disciplined, you will take a break and applaud yourself on how far you’ve come. As for me, dedicated myself to make all A’s in my senior year of high school. I turn in my assignments, I do my class work, and I talk to my teachers if I need help and it gets stressful of-course, but it is totally worthy it. When the report cards come out, I am happy and proud by the grades I see and the comments from the teachers. This will conclude my essay, thank you.

My relaxation method that help my well-being when I’m stressed busy or worried the first thing I do is to always take a break. I take some time off from my normal routines and thought. I go to the gym, even read a book for a few minutes. I bake my self brownies, I watch a film, I play with my Dog gypsy, and I listen to podcasts. The second thing i do is i take a deep breath. When I breath in deeply, it makes me a lot calmer and it increases my confidence of well being. With a deep breath, my body in my body decreases because it sends a message to my Brain to calm and relax. The breathing technique helps me feel connected to my body which brings me awareness away from my problems inside my head and it quiets my mind. And number, my favorite way to coup with my mental health is by listening to music. I listen to my favorite song and I turn the volume up. I saw a quote on the internet that says “music is life and that is why our hearts have beats” I really felt this quote and it is true. I always run to my playlist on my iPhone when I feel lonely. I dance even though I don’t know how to dance , I sing along and my siblings will tell me to shut up. And sometimes I just even close my eyes and really listen to the music and hear different instruments playing, different drum beats and rhythms. This helps me let my self focus on the song and let my other thoughts drift away. This will conclude my essay, thank you.

For example, holding hands, walking at the beach, watching the sun set. These little things makes my life extraordinarily. 3 years ago, I had an injury and the doctors said I wasn’t going to be able to play soccer anymore. They told me that I would have to dream new things and think of new thoughts. They told me that my Athletic ability would be different. I feared that I couldn’t go on with my life. I knew that confidence and fear cannot exist in my body at the same time. The fears began to surged my body when I heard from the doctor that my ACL was toned. The fear of not being able to play sports again, the fear of depression, the fear of failure, the future of coming back to play soccer again and not being the same player I was before. I asked myself how if I will ever be able to boost my confidence back up ever again. what I learned was is that sometimes the challenges we face, things that we see that are very challenging, they turn out to be the greatest strength and help us have the courage to learn to be brave. pain has been my marvelous teacher. my father's death, I went through a hard time, but I found my way by using the pain I curried, and I used it as motivation into something great. when we experience pain in our lives like emotional pain, physical pain, and mental pain. when I broke my ACL it was physical and mental. I had doubts about my future. what I learned was all those feelings were a marvelous teacher. that pains gave me a message I embraced that pain and heard the message, and I didn’t give up on my dream even it all seemed to burn to ashes.

A typical day of my life, I get up in the morning. Before starting my day, the first thing I do say a prayer to God and I thank him for another day, I ask him to watch over my family and friends. Next, I go to the gym and workout. I’ve been in the fitness industry for two years now. Fitness has shaped me to who I am today. I have learned to be humble, hardworking, patient, consistent and I’ve learned to be discipline. After my workout, I go home and make my first meal of the day to put in my body which is breakfast. After I eat breakfast, I watch a movie on Netflix for entertainment for about an hour and 30 mins. when I am finished with Netflix movie, I get on my laptop and apply for scholarships online because I want to go to a university without having to pay student loans. I try to apply to at least 3 scholarships a day because I know that not every scholarship I apply to is a guarantee that I will win it. Therefore, I apply to as many as I can to get my chances up. After my applications, I watch soccer highlights on you tube. This helps me improve my game. I learn new skills and movements that help me in games to perform better. I want to play college soccer and the only way to get there is learning more and more about the game. That is why I watch films. Next, I take a nap to catch my energy back for about 2 hours. After my two-hour nap, I go for a run in the park to clear my mind, it is a me time, I get better sleep, I gain motivation and focused, and I get to experience the nature. When I get home after my run, I shower, and I make my self-dinner. When my dinner is cooking, I get on social media and see what my friends have been up to. I text, I snapchat, I facetime, and I check my emails for updates. When dinner is ready, I put a tv show, watch for another two hours and after that, I knock out to sleep. I try to get at least 8 hours of sleep each night. Sleeping is very important. With that 8-hour sleep, my body is healing and repairing my heart and blood vessels.

    Bold Great Minds Scholarship
Someone I admire from history is Jesus. Jesus is my savior. He sacrificed his life for us humans so that our sin from Adam and Eve can be forgiven by the almighty God Jehovah. He gave us a second shot at everlasting life. Jesus was a self righteous man. People loved him and he loved people. He didn’t care what race you are he didn’t care what language you spoke or what you looked like. Jesus was filled with love because he was the perfect human. Not only Jesus was a people’s person, Jesus was the one and only son of God. He performed unbelievable miracles. He raised people from the dead, he unblinded men that couldn’t see, walked on water, healed sickness, he turned water into wine. He did things that no one in history has ever done or will ever do. And it was proof that he was the son of God for the nonbelievers. When Jesus was on earth, he preached the good news of the Bible. He told his Bible students about hope for the future and the world we live in will change. Jesus gave us hope that very soon, all bad things will go away and their will be no more suffering. This promise was made almost 2000 years ago but I have faith that it will be fulfilled. As a Christian, being patient is everything. I have hope that the son of the man will return and full fill his promise to us and live in a forever earth paradise were bad things don’t happen. This will conclude my essay, thank you.
    Bold Loving Others Scholarship
Everyone one of us love to feel like we’re loved. My way of showing love to others is listening to them deeply. Listening to someone and not just trying to answer them shows that you care for them because you are listening to their feelings and you are understanding them. When my friends are talking to me, I tend to pay attention to them, breath, and look in their eyes. When I do that, I bring my energy and presence around and the person I talk to, they are able to feel me as I am deeply listening to them. Another way I show my love to my for the people I care about is by being honest and showing them that I sincerely appreciate having them in my life. I show them that I am interested in them and I look deeply in the enough to perceive something that is worthy a compliment. Giving compliments to my friend is my way of showing how thankful i am to have them. Seeing things in someone prospectives is another of showing love. It could be your family member, a partner, or even a friend. You have to try to understand how someone got to thinking the way they do shows that you are selfless. Bold Perseverance Scholarship
I am currently going through a difficult situation. I hurt my foot in practice which caused me to miss out my soccer season for my club. As an athlete, My goal is to play D1 soccer. Missing my soccer season caused me not getting scouted by college soccer coaches. In the off season, I work so hard striving for the best season. I went in the gym, on the track, I even got on a diet. I made sacrifices that are hard to make. For example, waking up in the morning to get in a gym session. I really thought it was all going to pay off. And it was paying. I played two games and I had two 3 goals. I was a team captain. But then something happened. Something I didn’t see coming. It was unexpected. I was striking the ball in the net to score and one of my team put their foot in-front of the ball and I hit it so hard. My foot was bruised, nearly broke . I was in so much pain. I try to stay positive about it because I know he didn’t mean to injure me. But in the process, I got depressed. I made sure that no one saw what I was going through even though I was hurt emotionally because I put in a lot of time to have one hell of a season and I got injured. In the night when I go to sleep, I keep thinking what if I went back to that moment and I didn’t take that shot. I would have had a great season and probably some coaches contacting. But I can’t turn back time. Life is not about what happens to us but how we handle what happens to us. Thank you.
    Scholarship Institute Future Leaders Scholarship
I am a team captain of my soccer team. I have demonstrated my leadership in practice and games. My role is to lead, support, inspire, and represent the members on my team fairly and constantly all the time. What does a great leader mean to me? Why is being a great Leander important to me? In my point of view, a great leader is someone who doesn’t give up till the last second of a the match. Someone who inspire and motivate others to do better. A leader is someone who is open to new ideas. It is so important to me because a great leader can motivate others to realize their full potentials and get the job done. To be be a great leader, you have to refuse to give up no matter the circumstances. A sedulous person. Achieving a goal is a wildly thrill thing. If you tease yourself with the idea of giving up, you could be throwing away something glorious. Sometimes I catch my self worrying in the middle of the game when the scoreboard says there is no way to come back from this. That is the fear of failing inside my head. But I push my self to keep going because I have a captain band on my arm. I can’t give up because after all, you never how close you are to a comeback if you decide to give up. A good leader always keeps the positive mindset. With a negative mindset, you can’t motivate nor inspire people because no one wants to be around negative energy. You have to be someone who is passionate about your goals. You have to show that you care for people in order to motivate them right away. When you applaud someone, you are encouraging that person to work harder and perform better. When you as a leader show appreciation to others, they will work even harder and be more committed to theirs roles in order to become successful. This will conclude my essay about leadership. Thank you.
    Bold Giving Scholarship
There is a saying that there is more pleasure in giving than it is in receiving. I get a feeling of satisfaction. even in the Bible in the book of acts chapter 20 verse 35 Jesus said In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” For example, sometimes when I go to get my haircut, there is a homeless man in the street I pass by. I go inside a McDonald’s and buy him some sandwiches to eat. It is a small act of generosity but it brings me joy. Not only it is going to make that homeless guy happy, you are also feeding your soul and your humanity is growing. Even God blesses you and put more of whatever you gave came from. I do not think that we should store up for ourselves with with money when there is children dying because of hunger, families with loved ones on death beds because there is no money to pay for the medication, we people we have a soul unlike any other animal. We feel the pain of each and everyone one of us. And for me, my instincts always tells me to help. Storing up our treasures in this world where thieves can break in and steal. I think that we should be storing up our selves with love and kindness, because thieves can not break in your heart and steal love and kindness.

    Better Food, Better World Scholarship
Greetings my name is Allan Nsengiyumva. I am a high school senior at sharpstown high school in Houston Texas. I am passionated about natural foods because I am an athlete. I play soccer, I run track and cross country, and I do weightlifting. All those activities i mentioned requires a good nutrition. Therefore, I maintain what I put in my body. From Monday to Friday, I am under a calorie deficit. When the weekend comes I treat my body with something nice. I try to maintain my body with foods that are going to make me stay in a good shape. Some of the foods I eat are okay walnuts, rice, beans, chicken, brown bread, avocados, bananas and so many others. The thing about these foods is that they are natural foods. With natural food comes great nutrition. Me as an athlete, a good nutrition supports my health and training needs. A good diet gives me energy and nutrients to my system which helps me perform optimally in my activities. When it comes to weight lifting. Nutrition plays a major role. Because if you are trying to build muscle, it’s gonna take discipline. You gonna have to sacrifice some of the foods you love eating for example, fast food. You will have to eliminate fast food from your diet. You will have to eat natural food because it provides yours muscles with the nutrients they need to recover from workouts and grow bigger and stronger. There is even a rule that says that nutrition is 80% and exercise is 20%. That is where the calorie deficit comes in because it will speed up the metabolism when you are exercising which can help you be successful on your weight loss journey or building muscles. If you exercise without dieting, it will be all for nothing if you are trying to lose weight. So nutrition is important if you are trying to have a healthy body or trying to improve your athletic performance. This will conclude my essay. Thank you.

Soccer, track and field, basketball, and American football. In my middle school i participated in all of these sports. But there was a catch. In order for me to play in games and be on the team, I had to pass all my classes. Before I participated in athletics, I didn’t care about my grades, I did what I ever I wanted and I didn’t care if I had gotten an f in a class or on my test. But that changed when coach Watson came into my life. He was strict with me. He came to my classes to check if I was doing what I was supposed to do. He gave me after school tutoring. He told me some of his life stories and I picked up a few life lesson that I can use. The best lesson that he gave me a quote from some of the conversations that we had. He told me that in this life, you get what you put in.” That quote has stayed with me for years and years. When I am working out, when I am at school, when I am playing soccer, or when I am doing anything that matters, I always give it my best effort because I know that the if I give it 100%, I will be happy with the results that. So I thank my middle school coach because if it’s not for him, i wouldn’t have a 3.34 gpa, I wouldn’t be a varsity athlete that I am today, I wouldn’t be disciplined, i wouldn’t have taken my academics seriously. I would be just out there and life would be beating me down. I am graduating in the class of 2022 and I really hope my middle school coach will make it to my graduation because he was like a father to me that I didn’t have. My father passed way. He is was a drunk, died in his sleep. So growing up, I didn’t have a man in life that was supposed to be there for me. I only had my mom and big sister and two young brothers. So when I went to middle school. Coach Watson showed me things a father could have showed to a son. Thank you.

I want to be remembered as kid who always showed up and always put in the hard work. Every single day, I get up at 5am in the morning and get in my gym session before school starts. Going In the gym In the morning really tests my mentality on how bad do I want to be successful In life. So I sacrifice my sleep even when I had a few hours sleep, when that 5am alarm rings, I want to hit the snooze button so bad. But my burning desire to play professional soccer one day gets me up and go to the gym. I look up to my role models for motivation. like for example, Cristiano Ronaldo and Usain bolt. Those guys inspire me the most to push my self everyday. They have created legacies that will inspire generations and generations that are to come. So I keep trusting the process I believe that one day I will be like one of these guys and I will inspired millions and millions of people Worldwide. Because when my time comes, that one day when I am gone, I want to be remembered as a kid who started from the bottom with nothing but a dream to an inspiration to others. Thank you

Allan Nsengiyumva. My best skill is weight lifting. I started lifting weights in 2019 during the COVID-19 pandemic breakout. Schools were closed, soccer trainings was shut down both in school and in my club, and school was online for like six hours. After school, I had the rest of the day for myself. I didn’t want to be lazy so I started lifting weights so that I keep my self in good shape because I thought after two months, everything will be back to Normal and my soccer season will be resumed. I lifted weights 6 times a week. On Sunday I will take a day off to charge up and be ready for the new coming week. Over time, my body started to change, and I learned how the human body work. I stopped eating certain foods. The foods I enjoyed the most for example, I enjoyed eating fast food such as McDonald’s, Burger King, and Chick-fil-A. I had to sacrifice my love for this foods because from what I learned from weightlifting, foods like don’t do any good for the body. They make you feel sick, they contain a lot of calories, fat, and sugar. So I had to put a an end to eating fast foods. And sometimes I eat but and I regret after but I’m only human I’m not perfect. Today, I am a high school seniors. I am confident with myself. Before I used to be an insecure young man. Thanks to weight lifting, I feel good about my self and I do content on my Instagram to try to inspire others to start their fitness journey because the best project you will ever work on, it is no one else but yourself. Thank you so much God bless.

So I got on the bike and rode down the hill. Going down the heal, the breaks didn’t work and I fall on a big rock that left a scar on my face.

My name is Allan Nsengiyumva. I am from Africa Uganda. When I came to America, I didn’t speak much English. I didn’t understand the language very well. So I’m class, sometimes I would be behind because the classes I had, they were English speakers both the teacher and students. No one spoke my language so I had a very hard time understanding the class lesson. Math I understand because it was just numbers but the rest of my subjects, it was really hard. But this didn’t stop me from keep moving forward with my education. I kept showing up to my classes. And I am glad that I kept showing instead of skipping classes like some of my other classmates did. Showing up made me adapt to the English language. Time passed years passed, by the time I realized that I have learned the English language, I didn’t even know my self. I have nailed all my star tests. English,,math, science, and history. And to that, I thank to my teachers who have put in all the work and not giving up on me to reach to my full potential. And until now, I am still learning because it’s always something new. My motivation to to Pursing a higher in my education is that I want be more than average. I want to be to get the best in life because everyday I try to be better than I was yesterday. For example, I do weight lifting. If all of the sudden I stop putting in the effort, start missing days at the gym, or cheat on my diet, i won’t be happy with my self. And it would be no one to blame but me. So academically, I show up everyday for my self. I get my work done, study for my tests, and when the results come I am happy because I have motivated my self to put n all that work. So I am a self motivated to be more than average in sports and in my academics. Thank you.

Greetings, My name is Allan Nsengiyumva. And I am a student at SHARPSTOWN HIGH SCHOOL in Houston Texas. I am from Africa Uganda. I've been in America for 7 years. This is my story. One of the challenges I've faced through my high school career is that when I was in 10th grade, my father passed away in his sleep. This was the worst that has ever happened to me. To lose a parent. From death. I never knew the pain of losing someone you love felt like. To this day, their never goes a day pass goes by without the thought of my father. and I pray to God to keep me strong as he was but the truth is that when you lose someone you love, every prayer is not going to make up the fact that the only thing you have left is a black hole in your life where that someone you cared about used to be. The hardest thing I've went through my high school career. Lose my father to death. About mental health, me personally, I’ve been through mental health because I am an Athlete. I am a varsity soccer athlete , I run track track and field, and cross country. I have been with long term injuries which have caused me depression over the past 3 years since my freshman year in of high school. And like I had no one to talk about it with about what was going on. I kept my feeling Locked behind closed get because in my head, I felt like no one cared. I went trough days at school pretending to be okay. Smiling. But deep down, I was alone and terrified. And In the night when I got home, I would go in my bead and start thinking. With a lot of thoughts running in my head, I couldn’t sleep. But I kept praying to God to get me the trough with what I was going through and he did. And for that, I am greatful.

Greetings, My name is Allan Nsengiyumva. I am a high school at senior sharpstown high school in Houston Texas. And this is how drunk driving has impacted my life. According my on the research on the internet, one person is killed every 50 mins in the United States due to drinking while driving accidents. Every two mins, someone is injured in a drunk driving accident. Some of the facts about drunk driving are: impaired driving can cause accident that lead to paralysis. Paralysis is a really big one. Imagine me as an athlete who have a passion of playing soccer, ball on my feet. One day I get into an accident of drunk driving and the next day my body is paralyzed. My life will be over! The fact that I will not be able to play sports again! I will be depressed for the rest of my life because I won’t be able to do the things I occasionally did. Another fact about drunk driving is that it usually happens in the midnight. 3am on weekends they hit the road while drunk not knowing the damage they are going to cause people. And when those accidents happen, the people that got affected through the places some don’t make it out alive. Or they get a lifetime injury. I had a friend that this happened to. His little brother was going to school in the morning. On the bike. And then a drunk driver ran over him on his bike. Luckily, he didn’t get hurt. But the guy almost killed that day. This was not long ago. It was 2 years ago if I remember. The driver ran away. He didn’t even stop to check on the kid that he hit. And he wasn’t caught because there was no cameras around in that street area. Therefore, hope that people really should take the drunk driving situation serious because people die and families Bruce there loved ones but the sadness doesn’t go way.
    Bold Growth Mindset Scholarship
I keep growth of my mindset through my gym sessions in the morning before I go to school. I started going in the gym two years ago, it was like a hobby. But over time, weight lifting has changed my life both physical and mentally. One of the lessons I’ve learned in weight lifting is that you get what you put in. This relates to real life because in life, if you work hard and put in the time at your job, you are going to be happy with the money that you get. Weightlifting has give me a lesson to set goals and actually reach them. Some goals take a long period of time to achieve and patience plays a major key. When your body is transforming, it doesn’t happen over night. It required patience, commitment and disciplinary. And all of patience is required. This relates to life because in life, you don’t want to move too fast. Trying to move fast can destroy your relationship with people, it can even kill. For example, rushing into marriage with a wrong person. This will destroy you mentally and physically. Therefore, weightlifting has helped me to get my mindset developed. Because “good things they take time” and if you know that, you can achieve anything and never give up on Youself.

I have a friend, he is like a brother to me, he suffers from mental health. he takes his medication and sometimes on the weekend I go to counseling with him. He has his ups and down. And I try to be there for him when I can because I’m always busy with my athletics in school. When I can, I help him fight for him self because we are brothers for life. Damon is diagnosed with autism. He goes through depression and anxiety. Sometimes he hides the truth and pretend everything is okay, but for me. A friend who known him for over 5 years. I can tell when he is not okay. I can see the pain in his eyes, even when he is smiling pretending everything is okay when he is going through hell. Growing up with him, since 6 grade. Damon child hood wasn’t easy. He couldn’t participate in sports, his doctor wouldn’t let him due to his autism. This was a result of him not to be able to make friends. So growing up, Damon was a lone boy. With all those issues, loneliness and luck of friends, this led up to Damon to grow up really fast at a young age. It’s ironic because now I show love to Damon it seems like he doesn’t feel it or even need. The pain in his soul pain me as well. The pain in his mind, I wish I can take away. The pain in his heart, I want to share it with him. Because I want Damon to know that he is not alone. So for all the people that are suffering from mental health, a family member, friend, someone you know, we should show the love and make sure they know that they are not alone. Like my friend Damon. I love him even though sometimes he pushes me away, I always force my self back to him because I know that I need him and he needs me. I wish all the mental health patients the best. We shouldn’t give up on them we must keep fighting for them Mentally and physically. And most importantly, we should always show them love and never give up on them. I wrote this for the respect of my brother Damon because he is in a battle. Dealing with mental health it is tough. It’s easy to mask until the mental storms come out of no where. Thank you.
